"Suga-chan!" came a very excited yell and I almost jumped out of my skin as Hinata came barrelling next to me on my walk into school.

"Good morning, Hinata" I chuckled as he walked next to me.

"I didn't know you walked to school" he smiled, well more grinned like a Cheshire cat

"I know Koushi usually takes the train" I shrugged "but I like the morning air, plus I always wake up earlier than my lazy cousin so I have the time to walk"

"I like riding my bike" Hinata said, puffing a breath into the cold air that swirled in condensation in front of him "but I broke the chain" he pouted

"Well, it's nice to have the company" I chuckled at the bright haired boy, who was still smiling.

"I'm glad you'll be in my class" he smiled "Kageyama is not really a lot of fun"

"He does look kinda serious" I said "though you guys make a great team at Volleyball, you've got some serious talent"

"You think?" he beamed

"Yeah, you have to teach me how to jump that high!" I smiled "it be nice to see how it is to be tall"

Hinata babbled most of the way into school, I tried my best to keep up and he didn't get annoyed when I asked him to repeat some things, which I appreciated so much. He was in my class as well as I rapidly scribbled down notes, trying to remember some of the kanji symbols I had forgotten. I ate my lunch with Hinata outside, him being really the only person who would talk slow enough for me to understand in my class. It was so nice to have a friend - as full on and loud he was - he meant well.

"You coming to volleyball tonight?" Hinata asked, swinging his legs back and forth as we sat on the bench.

"Probably, my mother likes me walking home with Koushi at night so I'll have to wait for him" I answered through a mouthful of my lunch. Hinata checked his watch and groaned.

"I have to go talk to my Mathematics teacher, my grades in the last test weren't so great" he sighed, gathering up his bag.

"Good luck" I called as he walked away, he shot me a pained expression and I giggled. I crossed my legs, looking across the campus and chewing my lunch - feeling lonely again now that Hinata's beaming personality was gone.

"Sugawara?" came a voice and I turned to see Nishinoya smiling at me "why are you alone?"

"Hinata's getting yelled at for failing a class" I joked as he sat down where Hinata previously was and he laughed

"Sounds like Shouyuo" he nodded with a grin and I chuckled "so, how are you liking Karasuno so far?"

"I love being back" I nodded, drinking some of my juice box "it's not changed at all" he opened his mouth to reply but the sound of the bell signalling our return to class cut him off.

"Can I walk you to class?" he asked with a smile and I felt my cheeks flame as I nodded in response. Nishinoya was very cute, I really had no problem with him walking me to class at all. I gathered up my bag, slinging it over my shoulder. Noya started talking about the training camp they were going on in a few days as we walked, I noticed he was talking slow and it made me smile as I listened to him talk - nodding every now and then - laughing at the odd joke he would crack, some of which were kinda awful but I giggled anyway. I could see people looking at us as we walked. I overheard a girl whisper to her friend "are they a couple?" and I flushed red.

"Suga-chan?" Noya asked and I snapped out my daze

"W-what?" I stuttered

"Are you okay? You're all red" he said, stopping outside my classroom and leaning closer to expect my face, which didn't help as I blushed harder.
