I sit at a table in the junction, studying my coffee, eyes feeling empty. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. I was up all night working on a song. I yawn and scratch my head, it itches. Did I mention I haven't taken a shower either? At least my song is finished. It's really good. At least, I hope it is.
Just as I'm wondering about how Hazel is doing in the band, she runs up to me, like she's running from someone. she is taking deep breathes and she slumps down in the chair across from me. I ignore my cup of coffee, asking,
"What's wrong?" She replies so softly,
"Get me...away from them..." I laugh. I saw it coming. They'd annoy her. Hazel is a solo artist. She doesn't do bands.
"I'm sorry Hazel." She finally looks at me and smiles. THen, it fades as she talks,
"They're so bossy! And I can't take them! Too many singing at the same time!" She drops her head in her hands. I laugh. I know its bad, but it's so funny how I saw this barreling towards her. I probably should've said something.
"Okay, we can fix this," I say and Hazel nods, listening. "Just tell them how you feel." Her eyes get wide and her mouth drops,
"No way! You know I'm not good at speaking up!" I smile a her. I take a sip of my coffee, the warm juices of the beans trickling down my throat. I feel it melt into my stomach ad feel so much more refreshed.
"I have faith in you." I smile and Hazel and she looks at me with a face that says, What's wrong with you? Are you kidding me? I just keeping smiling. It's true. I believe Hazel can do this.
"Really?" she finally says, nose crinkled. I nod,
"i always have." she looks astonished and she looks as if she's trying to figure out what exactly what im up to. " Look, I'll even go with you." After realizing I'm not up to anything, she drowns with relief.
"Okay, good." She slumps back in her chair eye closed in relief. I take another sip of my coffee, feeling the energy fill my body.
Boy, I need some sleep.

I walk into the recording room, bringing John a sandwich. The band is practicing and John texted me saying he was hungry. I set the sandwich down next to the door on the table and walk over to Jude, who is recording them. I smile as I sit down, and we both lean back in our chairs, watching the four bust out some new tunes.
Jude plays with the volume switches and I help him, pulling on some headphones. As I help adjust volume and duration, the band turns to looks at me. Well, not all of them. Just Luke and Theo. Luke smiles at me and wiggles his eyebrows as he shreds some minor chords to the song on the electric guitar.
My eyes drift to Theo and he's smiling at me, World's Biggest Smile. He should win an award for that smile. He's on the bass (as usual) and he has this twinkly in his eyes as he stares at me, I can't help but smile back, a hot heat rising in my body. As I look at him, the song I spent all night on plays in my head.
You're not like all the other guys
You're a blonde blessing in disguise-
When I catch these butterflies
I shake 'em
'Cause I cant take them
