Day 35(P.2)

"Well, I could show you around if you want?" Daniel asks and I nod, sipping my drink. He smiles and we leave Squeezed, and I'm really excited. I don't think any other mentor is going to show their partner around The Next Step.

"Okay, but we have to be back soon for practice in Studio A." Daniel adds and I nod again. He smiles and adds again, looking at me, "You don't talk much, do you?" I laugh and shrug, looking at him back,

"I talk when I want to." He grins and I look at the ground, smiling.

He shows me to the washroom and the bathrooms. We go back into Studio A so he can show me the cubbies and office, and then he takes me to Studio B. It's a smaller studio, but I like it. There's a couch and a backdrop, and it's roomy. Daniel smiles and I cross my arms, saying,

"Dance." He looks surprised. He raises his eyebrows and he exclaims,

"What?" I can't help but smile at his sparkling eyes as he lights up when I reply,

"Dance for me." He laughs and then throws his hands up,

"Okay." The music cues and he starts to dance. I stand back and watch. He's amazing.

Halfway through the song, he spins over to me, and holds out his hand. I'm confused and surprised at first, but then I take his hand, and he spins me into him. I feel amazing. Sure, my technique is messy, and I fumble a few times, but he doesn't care. He's smiling the whole time. It was so much fun.

He twirls me out, and the music stops. He finishes in a sharp pose and I clap. I jump up and down and squeal. I don't know where it came from because I barely squeal. Daniel smiles and teasingly bows,

"Thank you, Thank you." I laugh and Daniel laughs too, until he fills with worry.

"Oh no." My eyes widen in confusion, he adds,

"We're gong to be late to practice!" We both look at each other with panic  before finally bolting out of Studio B. We race to Studio A, both smiling. I don't really know why I'm smiling, and neither does Daniel, but when we reach Studio A, the smiles get wiped off our faces. The blonde girl, I found out her name is Emily, gives us a glare as she crosses her arms. A bunch of the dancers give us dirty looks, and the Lost and Found members look a mix between confused and mad. I stand frozen.

"You all are late." Emily says and Michelle walks through the crowd of dancers and musicians, looking sort of mad. She exclaims,

"What happened?" I can't even look at Daniel. It was my fault. I made him dance, causing us to lose time. I look at the ground, only my head being able to move. Michelle juts her chin out, motioning to tell. Daniel speaks, and at his voice I look back up,

"We got lost." Daniel lies, and I admit, it is a pretty terrible excuse. Michelle shakes her head and says,

"Okay, everyone, it's finally time to practice our sequence routine. You can practice your duets again tomorrow. " I nod, and everyone gathers around, most of them giving Daniel and I dirty looks. Michelle kindly tells everyone their places, and we slowly go through the moves, most of us musicians needing to be taught how to do them. 

At the end of the day, I thought it went well. When some of the dancers asks all of us to join them at Squeezed for some pizza, I assume they've all forgotten my late situation with Daniel. I'm sitting with Maggie, Hazel and Harley, talking to them about our duets when Theo comes up to me.

"Hey, can I talk to you for a second?" I nod and stand up, walking over to the side with him. He takes my hands, and I can see Giselle eyeing us suspiciously from behind him, in the distance. I still hold his hands, though, my face getting heated. He looks at me,

"Hey," I reply with a "Hi" and I finally bring my eyes to his, as he says,

"So, what's going on with you and Daniel?" I gawk at him, surprised.

Theo: I've noticed Daniel and Harper becoming closer lately. I don't really know what to think about it, but I ask her, just to make sure.

Harper: I honestly don't know what's going on between Daniel and I. I think we're just friends, but then again Theo and I weren't officially Girlfriend and Boyfriend...

James: I honestly don't care about this whole situation...all I know is Theo had been talking to Giselle and Daniel has been talking to Harper.
