Last summer my mother had a phone call with me.

She said that the president wants to meet me.

The day after tomorrow, I’ve went to our school president’s mansion.

On his office….

“So Mr. Madrigal, as we all know, you’re running for valedictorian position. You don’t need to exert effort on studying, I will give you what you want…. ”

“Sir thank--”

“unless.. you’ll find my grand daughter”

And that’s it.

Mr. President explained me everything. Kaya ako napili nyang utusan?

Its because of my dad. My dad was his secret agent before. Bago maging businessman si dad, nagtrabaho muna sya kila mr.president.

Sa pagkakaalam ko pinaiimbestigahan ni Mr. President sa dad ko yung anak nyang babae. Ayun lang ang nasabi saken ni mom. And dad was succeeded. So my father wished to had his own business and Mr. President grant it. And now. Our clothing business grew. Actually my mother is a designer and a model. Kya sgro yun napili ni dad na business. Busy sila palagi. Kaya ayun. Eto. Mag isa akong lumaki kasama ng mga maids.

Anyways..

Back to the topic..

I remembered well what Mr. President told me.

He also gave me his grand daughter’s picture. Actually a family picture that was taken 13 years ago. And in this picture, I noticed that the girl is wearing a heart-shaped pendant. A locket in specific.

That was the only clue I had.

It means mahihirapan talaga ko ng sobra nito.

Isang taong palugit. Yan lang ang time ko.

Almost 2 months nako naghahanap.

Naghanap na rin ako ng mga katulong to search for this girl. But natapos ang summer, ni dagdag na clue..wala.

First day ng klase ngayon .. June 15 (WED).

I’ve went to mr president’s office to tell him the truth. Saka nung time na yun pinatawag nya na rin naman ako. At ayun..

Pinaalala nanaman sakin yung time na nasasayang. Dmn it. Gsto ko tlga maging valedictorian, not because to be proud by my parents, but bcoz to be much appreciated by others. That I can surpass my sister. Psshh.

Aahh..

I just want to prove to her na kayang kaya ko sya lampasan. Kaya nga I accept the challenge. Yung kay mr. president.

Habang badtrip badtrip akong naglalakad papuntang classroom ko.. may nakabangga saken…

“ARAY!!/WHAT THE---”sabay pa naming nasabi.

“holy craapp! what did you do!! ugh~”

“nakoo sorry po.sorry po talaga..pasensya na nagmamadali kase ko eh.bbye na.sori”
