They're looking. They are most definitely looking im not crazy, I can feel their judgmental eyes burning into the back of my head!

"A-Anna..let's g-g-go please?" I tug at the one sleeve of her royal blue dress. She sighs and grabs my hand.

"You cant let that asshole dictate your life. I've gotten rid of him, now you have to do the rest and push those LIES from your head. No one is judging you here, you look hot" I look down at my outfit that consisted if a little black dress that stopped about 4 inches from my knee and clung to my every bump and curve with black heels that sorta hurt my feet the more I walked.

I sigh and try to calm myself down.

"How about a drink to calm your nerves?" I nod. That could help loosen me up...figuratively of course. Anna grabs my hand and leads me through the dark club. She was right, this place is way classier than that other club I'm used to being dragged too..no naked women and no thugs starting trouble. The music is still loud but its not about money and hoes and drugs. I dont feel like im in danger..still anxious though.

We make it to the bar and claim two stools for ourselves.

"See this isnt so bad right?" anna leans over and grabs my shoulders shaking me a bit

"Yeah.. I guess this is better"

"Damn straight! We're around the white folk!" I smile and shake my head. She isnt racist I swear..but some black folk just love to point stuff like that out. I cant say she's wrong. Since we've gotten here I've seen mostly white people and maybe 5 black people and quite a few possibly mexican people.

"Hush! Before someone hears you" she giggles and waves over the bartender.

"Can we get two rounds of whatever?" He gives her a thumbs up and walks away to get our order. Anna spins around slowly on her bar stool looking around"ugh look at this place..full of gorgeous single guys..I love coming here." she looked genuinely happy.

"How can you tell they are single?" I look around until my eyes land on a man in a secluded area of the club surrounded by women in short dresses pawing at him. His table had at least 10 bottles of alcohol surrounding them. He looked really bored.

"Well..i don't know for sure of course but a good percentage has to be single." she combs her fingers through her hair. The bartender comes back around with our drinks. Anna winks at him and downs her first shot with no problem. I slid my first one in front of me and sort of toyed with it. "Im paying good money for these, you better drink up...Or I will" she takes her next shot.

I lick my suddenly dry lips and sigh...now or never I place the tiny glass to my lips and drink it.

"Argh.." I frown and drink the next one just to get it out of the way..pure vodka. Gross. I feel my cheeks turn a bit red. Ugh I'm such a light weight, i hardly ever drink.

"How ya feeling?" my best friend raises her eyebrows and looks me up and down, examing my behavior.

"2 more of these and I might start dancing."I bite my lip.

"That's my light weight girl."she hops off her bar stool and calls over the bartender. "Hey handsome " she leaned onto the bar and waited for him to make his way towards us.

"What can I do for you lovely ladies" she licks her lips and subtly pushed her chest out.

"I have to powder my nose, but while I'm gone could you make sure she doesn't run dry?"she bats her eyelashes and twirls her curly dark brown hair.

"Yes..ma'am"he tries not to stare at her breasts.

"Dont call me ma'am, im only 23" my best friend...loves her men.

"Alright gorgeous."He runs his hand through his short brown hair and bites his bottom lip showing off his dimples. I can see why she's attracted to him. Pretty brown eyes, he is wearing a short sleeved shirt that shows off his nice biceps, light brown skin. Ugh nice one anna.

"I could come with you? " I look around the club at the sweaty bodies grinding and drinking. I don't want to be left alone.

"No I will be right back. Stay here and get smashed." she looks around and leans in to whisper in my ear"Maybe find you a nice white rich man." We both explode with laughter.

"You sound just like nana" I cover my mouth and try to stop myself from dying of laughter. Nana is what we call my grandma, she has a bit of an old mindset. And that was something she would more than likely say.

"I was going for that." She rubs my back and walks towards the bathrooms"relax!" I sigh and relax in my chair. The bartender bring over a tray of brightly colored drinks.

"Here you go"he sits them down in front of me."Hey uhm...whats up with your friend?" he begins to wipe down the counter.

"O-Oh uhm...her name is annabella, she goes by anna. She's interested in you and will more than likely slip you her number by the end of night if you are single" I grab the sky blue drink and begin to drink it from the cup, ignoring the straw. This drink is way better, its fruity and delicious. Way more tame than the shots.

"Nice, nice"He smiles and goes to attend to other customers. I begin to sip from the straw and look around again. My eyes land back to the secluded party on the other side of the club but this time the man in the suit in the middle of all the women is looking directly at me. I feel myself getting nervous.

Oh great, now im 200% sure im not crazy. Im glad she got me drunk before leaving because if I wasn't I would more than likely leave or have a panic attack. Before long I hear a slurping noise and my drink gets spotty and watery meaning ive reached the end of my first drink. I reach for the red one and begin to drink it . I glance over to where the man was sitting but he was gone and the women were partying alone. I quickly look around for him out of habit of keeping an eye on who ever i feel is watching me.

Where the hell is she? She said she would be right back.

"Hey there" I feel a hand land lightly on my shoulder. My heart skips a beat
