"Momma?" What is she doing here? Well thank god it wasnt who i thought it was. Anna smacks her lips and opens the door wider.

"How you doing mom, its good to see you again." She takes my mom into her arms and kisses her on the cheek. Mom chuckles and squashes Anna's cheeks around.

"Really? Didnt seem like you were too happy to see me!"she looks Anna up and down with a raised eyebrow.

"No of course im happy to see you but your stubborn old daughter has been avoiding her cute rich boyfriend... I was hoping it was him at the door" they grab each other's hand and snicker at my misery.

"My my have you gotten more beautiful! How's your uncle Ray baby?" Anna quickly whips her phone out and starts swiping away.

"Mom he got married to this real pretty Asian girl, Hannah. Here's the wedding photos. They got hitched REAL quick I tell you." You probably noticed Anna calls my momma "mom" she's been pretty close to my family for awhile. After her Daddy left her and her mom at age 12 her mom started going out a lot. She was barely home it seemed. Anna was always at our house. Just another part of the family. After awhile her mom kinda bailed too and left her with her uncle ray. Yeah she still had contact with her mom but they just never actually been together like family. Basically just 'heres my number so you dont have to look for me with Oprah's help i guess'. She stopped calling that woman when we entered high school. Only calls when it's an emergency.

"Ooh look at that dress! Must have costed a fortune looks so lovely.. Where's all the guests?" I lean over to get a look also. She was right, there was maybe 4 people in the pictures.

"Ah they wanted it super lowkey. Only invited their parents and me. It was real quick, that's why yall weren't invited dont worry." Her uncle has always been pretty lowkey with his love life. He married twice, had 5 kids. Both wives took their kids and split. He hasnt seen them since and so he when he was asked to watch after little Annie he was ecstatic!

"That's amazing he deserves happiness, speaking of which girl whats with you and that man? Your uncle Ron has been dropping these off at our house and going on and on about how he's the devil and blaahhh." She reaches into her oversized zebra printed purse and pulls out 3 magazine pages. Each one has large pictures of me and or Kai spread across it accompanied by a small article. "They all in y'all business i swear, but why arent you talking?"

I scowl and set the pages on the back of my recliner.

"Mom, he said he likes her and wants to date her and she freaked out and stopped talking to him AND going to work " snitch...mom squints her eyes and looks me up and down.

"Are you at least visiting the restaurant?" I scratch my ear nervously. It's not like i completely abandon the place. What do i need to be there for 24/7 thats what i hired everyone else for. It was a bit of a struggle taking up Nadia's slack but with her on her grind it's running smoothly. I stop in at least twice a week.

"Heh, im going down later today.." I honestly hate looming over my employees. Its like I don't trust them. I still feel the shame of blowing up on Nadia infront of everyone, but from the reports i get back she seems to be on the right path.

Turns out mom only stopped by to check in and make sure i was cleaning after myself and had food. Yknow mom things. She forced me and Anna out of the house so she could do a "deep clean". So I brought anna with me to the restaurant. As soon as i walked in i was welcomed to hooping an hollering.

"Boss lady you're back! We missed you around here."Lynette waddles over to my side and rubs my back. "Although we do get to see you and awful lot on that magazine they have in the stores. No wonder you've been out so much." I blush and glance away.

"Hey Lynette." i cringe hearing Anna's tone.

"Oh yeah hey"they've never really liked eachother i have no clue why. Everytime i ask she just brushes me off."well, im going to go check the kitchen out."

"Haha yeah do what you do best girl!" They both chuckle awkwardly and Lynette disappears behind the kitchen doors.

"Annabella what is your beef with that woman?" She smacks her lips and rolls her eyes, flipping her hand in all sorts of directions.

"Girl,"she smacks her lips again" you know, whatever,she just...girl." She walks away grumbling to herself. What in the world. I follow her with my eyes only to see her still wiggling her hand and saying curse words under her breath. She walks behind the counter and grabs an apron. She continues on as she roughly scrubs empty tables and collects dirty dishes.

"Thanks for the help girlie." I cant help but smile at her. I quickly rush to relieve Nadia of her place at the register.

"Hey im in for the day. Can you make sure the bathrooms are clean?"She stomps her way towards the bathroom. Whats her deal? Before she fully left she stopped to look at me.

"You're welcome for the machine. The kids love it...oh speaking of which you've come just in time, someone has been coming up here nonstop desperately trying to talk to you."she turns with a hair flip lets the door close behind her. Maybe Wyatt is stopping by? That's the only person that would make sense. Cool i haven't seen him since the dinner party i would love to see him again!

"Girl who she talking about?" Anna leans against the bar.

"Just this dude. You'll see when he gets here." I found myself constantly looking from customer's faces to the door. I hope they dont find me rude. Im actually a bit excited to see Wyatt. I finished taking another customers money and giving their order to the kitchen when Anna strutted her way back to the counter.

"Now about the little Mexican girl. Why haven't you fired her? Did you hear the way she's been talking to you ALL day? If you didn't have security cameras and witnesses i would cut her ass." I don't dare doubt she would do such a thing. I haven't fired her because i believe theres good in some assholes. Although she acts the way she does she at least should have a job around a bunch of kind people. Maybe it will rub off on her? I searched for the right words to tell Anna.

"Is it Nadia again? I gave her a prettt good talking to after the last time, she back to her old ways?" Wyatt inserts himself into the conversation. I couldn't stop the large smile that spread across my face.

"Wyatt! Hey, sorry ignore her she likes to complain about everything and everyone, what brings you by?" Anna gasps casually reaches over to grab my arm. She gives it a squeeze and i meet her eyes. I can see the crazy in her eyes. She lets me go and flips her hair. She gives Wyatt a flirty smile.

"Hey, my name's Anna. Who might you be?"she tiptoes closer and bats her lashes. He looks unfazed by her advances and simply gives her a hand shake.

"Names Wyatt. Im in business with your lovely friend here just came by to collect my 30%." I open the register and lift the tray to get to his 30%. I told Lynette to simply keep track of how much the machine makes and set aside the amount we owed. Just in case Nadia was the one at the register she just had to take it out and give it to him, no problems.

"Here ya go, I've heard good things about the machine. Thanks again.

"No problem cutie." I blush and look away. Why must you compliment me? Now it's going to be all awkward.

"Mmhm.." i couldn't think of anything else to say. I just wanted him to leave so i can collect myself a bit.

"S-So uh..Plans. Got any?" He blinks rapidly.
