I simply went home after that. I figured it was best to talk to Kai ALONE and away from a bunch of elite business people. Anna and I sat in my room catching each other up on the whole situation. Thank you lord for best friends because Anna let me know that she say what was happening and spent the rest of the night with jay following the two around.

"I mean granted there was that one tiny bit of time we were in the coat closet...and didn't see them..." I stared her as if she grew another head."checking the jackets obviously." She lied

"Yeah sure whatever, I'm sure y'all were just checking jackets before Jay stumbled into the meeting late, lookin' like he'd just got jumped." I pinch off of my bucket of cotton candy and stuff it into my mouth. Anna giggles and does the same.

"You're right, it was fun to, HA!" She smacks my arm. I cant help but feel like a proud mom. She's finally got someone that can keep up with her.

"But girl yes, besides that. She wouldn't let him go for ANYthing. He looked so miserable, and when he saw you leave he looked like he could cry a river. He told Jay to tell me to tell you it's not what it looks like and he will explain later." Right when she said that a loud knock came at the front door. We both looked at each other. "Cant be Momma again...i knew i was magical.."We both made a break for the front door. Anna beat me to the door and flung it open. Her smile fell. Her big ass head blocked the doorway so i couldn't see well.

"Uhm, did i get the wrong place?" A familiar voice asked. I peeked my head around. Wyatt?"Oh hey! It's me,"He waved a big bouquet of flowers."I stopped by the restaurant and they gave me your address i hope you don't mind." I wave him in so we could hurry and close the door.

"Does that mean im not going to Hogwarts? "Anna pouted.

"Oh hey, im sorry i didn't recognize you, we met already right?" Anna nodded but she still pouted. What a big baby.

"Yeah nice to see you again. Im not allowed to flirt with you though so it's whatever. I have a budding romance going on right now." She hobbled up the stairs. "Call me if things change!" She shouted behind her. Wyatt looked confused which i couldn't help but laugh at.

"She's a sweet heart just weird is all." I explain. He nods and hands me the flowers with a big smile.

"I tried calling you yesterday but you didn't pick up." Right..that call.

"Oh yeah! See what happened was i went to this golf party thingy."

"You mean for the powers? if i knew you were going i would have went too. I tossed the invite." Right he does have money.  he's so low-key i forget he isn't a commoner. "i was just wondering if maybe you'd want to try again with an official date? This time without the crazy golf club wielding man hopefully?" Just then another knock sounded at the door. Anna flung herself down the stairs but since i was closer i beat her to the door. That didn't stop her from trying to get a good look.

"Girl you're popular today!" She said. I open the door and right there stood, you guessed it, Kai. My eyes widen in horror. Anna's eyes widened in excitement.

"Hey my bunny." He leaned down and placed a delicate kiss on my lips. He glanced down at the flowers in my arm, then into my eyes. He's expression darkened."These again?" He took them from my hands and walked past me into my house. I close the door and face the music. Kai and Wyatt stood silently in the middle of the floor simply glaring at each other. Anna plops into the recliner and starts munching on her cotton candy.

"Okay, so this is not what it looks like." I ease in between them. Kai sticks his hands under my arms and picks me up, setting me out of the way.

"Really? Because it looks to me like that ass whooping didn't send my message properly? Maybe i need to beat it into him again, maybe this time it will stick?" Wyatt sighed shakily. He didn't seem to be the confrontational type, but in this moment he puffed out he chest and prepared himself like he was totally used to this kind of thing.

"You don't scare me, you big man child. No matter how many times you try to assault me i will keep coming back until SHE shuts me down." Kai glances over at me.

"Yeah whatever. Get out i need to talk to her. You can come pick up your rejection later." kai said nonchalantly, walking past him and deeper into the living room

"Wyatt, i'll talk to you later okay?" I said. Wyatt acted like he didn't want to leave, but he left with no problems. Kai sat me down at the living room table, and anna stood in the kitchen pretending not to listen to everything that was being said.

"You know, i would feel a lot better if you didn't let grown men that want to fuck you waltz in your house and give you flowers." He smiled at me. I rolled my eyes and leaned back in my seat holding back a smile of my own.

"And i'd appreciate if you didn't walk around with some other chick on your arm while im getting kidnapped." His smile slowly fell. He suddenly looked really sad. He moved closer and laid his head on my shoulder. I felt butterflies in my stomach. ugh how annoying.

"Im sorry, seriously. My dad is kind of crazy. He wants me to marry Zan. Apparently after the wedding fiasco she caught feelings and now shes trying to make her move. You know im not interested in her." He reassured me.

"I know, but does SHE know? Same way you don't like Wyatt pushing up on me i don't like your friend hitting on you. As a matter of fact, as soon as you handle that i will handle Wyatt." He narrowed his eyes at me.

"That's...fair...i guess." I cant believe he actually agreed to it. Im not even into Wyatt, any little curiosity i had before has been wiped away. Kai made sure of that. I reached up and ruffled his hair.. He really is just a big puppy. Kai places his hand high up on my thigh and rubbed it softly, i couldn't help but to smile.

"you know what's not fair?" I asked swatting his hand away. Instead he opted for grabbing my hand and holding it firmly.

"What's that kitten i'll fix it.."

"You haven't taken me on a proper date  recently, that little golf fiasco doesn't count. Jay and Anna went to an arcade." He laughs and buries his face in my chest. Was that funny? No, i like romance too, not just sex and buying me stuff.

"Baby i can BUY you an arcade." I smack him playfully. I hear Anna grumble from the kitchen, but her attention seeking got cut off by Kai's phone ringing again. He groans and answers it. I hear what sounded like his dad on the other line. He popped up from the couch and dragging me to my feet with him. After a while he finally hangs up the phone and plants a kiss on my forehead. "Im sorry, duty calls. I promise to get this all straightened out okay?" I just nod and go to open the door for him. Something tells me Bubby will have a hard time fixing things. He leaves out with a little pep in his step.

"Okay Anna just us again!" I yell in a sing song voice. Anna rushes past me holding her bag and cotton candy. "Wench where you going? " i grimace. She had a shit eating grin on her face, do i really need to ask?

"See you ain't the only one with a sexy boyfriend to cuddle up with. Im feeling lonely so i called Jay." She cackles to herself.

"What am i chopped liver?" I ask with a small smile. She pats my back and shakes her head.

"listen heffa i know they always say you scratch my back and i'll scratch yours but there's certain itches we don't need to be scratching for each other." We share one last laugh before she flies out the door and on to cloud 9. I nod thoughtfully. Im happy to see her with someone that makes her so happy. Maybe its just the worry wart in me but i REALLY hope that man means her some good. I'd be pissed to see her get hurt. Lately ive been more froggy so if he tries to hurt her Im not afraid to whoop his big ass. ..Then again...look who's talking right? I don't even have all my shit together so who am i to have trust issues with someones else's man..
