Thirty years later Lara hadn't changed much, she was the same cheerful teenager that could make friends with anyone she happened to come across. Unfortunately, part of her heart had hardened due to her first love having left her while she was risking her life trying to fight the very people he joined way back when.
Mavros on the other hand had changed so drastically that he wasn't the same man he meant to be. His presence had become more regal and his heart had become darker, yet it wasn't completely dark. A part of his iced, stone, cold heart still beat for a young woman he had helped in his youth. He thought of her quite often, he had love and anger in his memories of young Lara. The love rested in her mannerisms, her laugh, her smile and her lovely long brown hair. His anger layed in wait to snuff out the love due to his feelings as to how he left her alone. Never in his life had he ever thought he would see her again.... Until he began working for Kylo Ren and the First Order.
During an overheard meeting between General Hux and Lord Ren, Mavros learned of the attack planned involving the new weapon that had been built for the destruction of planets in the way of the First Order's path for supreme power. Mavros knew this was wrong. He knew that anger controlled most sith, but there was a reason for everything and Kylo's reason was a poorly planned one. Whom may I tell that would value this information? Mavros thought. He kept letting his mind drift to Lara, then he had an epiphany. He would contact Lara and share the information with her. He wasted no time in putting a communication through to her. In the communication he had advised her to meet him at Mas Katana Cantina in the back of the bar.
Mavros of course knew Lara would have no want to see him, so he decided to make it urgent that she see him. That night he waited at the Cantina, hoping that she would show up. For the first time in his life he had butterflies flying around in his stomach, but he passed it off as rancid alcohol. Of course, this was before he saw her walk in through the door looking more attractive than ever. Which was making a statement, since all Lara wore was black pants, a purple jersy cloth top and a black jacket (much like the style of Poe's).
Lara was not smiling, she wasn't cheery and she most definitely did not wish to see a sith lord at the moment. She looked around and when she saw him scowl on her face deepened. Mavros had never seen her this way. It intrigued him, had he really caused her that much anguish that she would loathe him? Lara knew in her heart her feelings, but she also knew the sith and the dark side. Lara walked to the table much like a pompus, ignorant ruler would and sat down. "Mavros Imagara. I thought I'd never have the misfortune of seeing your traitorus face again." Her words felt like red hot daggers entering Mavros's back, yet he remained coy.
"Lara, lovely to see you. I see you haven't changed much. How is the Resistence doing?" He was attempting to get her warmed up to him again. Much to his disappointment, it was only making her anger boil and burn the inside of her soul like blazing hot fire. "I have a bone to pick with you. Now get to the point, you murderous coward, before I walk right out of here forever." She said ominously. "Lara, you know you don't mean that. You are above such name calling are you not?" He reasoned.
"What do you want you coward?! Forgiveness?! Is that why you called me here?" She was unswayed by his antics. She was willing to just pull her blaster out and shoot him right there.

Mavros realized how much pain he had truly caused her and it set the gears in his mind turning. Lara had so much pent up anger, she would make a perfect candidate....
