This chapter is dedicated to Neilani Alejandrino (sweetdreamer33) because her books are super amazing. The Girl He Never Noticed <3

RECAP- Nothing much (L-O-L). Well Shimmer meets Pierce (remember that cute singer at Cupcakes & Miracles? Yeah he lives here, talk about co-incidence)  at the Magby building's greenhouse where she had decided to spend the night (because that is such a smart idea?!) and he convinces her to spend the night at his place instead ( I swear this would've been a horror story about a serial killer if it weren't romance but Pierce is a nice guy).

I was unhappy with this chapter but than wrote and deleted and wrote again and finally came up with this final thing that you're about to read right about now......

The caress of soft rays of a winter sun streaming in through wood paneled windows is the first thing that greets me when I flutter open my eyes, next is the scent of Liege waffles and fresh strawberries that lingers in the air. I inhale deeply from my nostrils before lazily turning over on the soft cushion-y bed. The smooth silk spread glides over my skin, making me feel like I've been sleeping in luxury.

Wait a minute....luxury? Where am I? I bolt upright, the thick comforters still stretched over my body. I look around and take in the unfamiliar surroundings. The marble flooring, expansive wooden wardrobe, glossy silk bed sheets and navy walls that remind me of a certain boy with ocean blue eyes.

Pierce.

The events of last night rush through my mind like a tragic movie set on replay.

After Pierce bought me to his place, which in my opinion is no less than a miracle in itself, he decently offered me a pair of his black pajamas and T-shirt. It was a relief to finally be out of the wet clothes sticking unpleasantly to my body and be in something dry and comfortable. I had to ditch my undergarments as, pretty obviously, they too were drenched to the core but that posed no problem because Pierce's clothes hung loosely enough over my body.

By the time I was settled comfortably on his couch, I felt famished. Thankfully, he had some leftover lasagna in his fridge which he was so kind to offer. It's so hard to believe that in this world which moves on the wheels of greed and selfishness, there are still some people who are willing to help and not for some deprived reason but for the sake of helping.

I bumped into one of those rare creations of magic last night and I don't know how I'll ever be able to pay him back for his generosity.

I hear the sound of china being moved around and I realize that Pierce must be setting breakfast. I look around for my purse where I'm sure I put my cell phone last night but don't see it. I must've left it in the living room, which brings me to the question-what am I doing in the bedroom? And more importantly, how did I reach the bedroom. I barely remember anything after that delicious lasagna. I'll be sure to ask Pierce the recipe, and hopefully be able to replicate it without destroying the kitchen.

Slim chance, but I can hope.

I get off the bed and straighten the sheets and pillow cases. The marble and the air are unexpectedly warm. Pierce must've turned on the heat last night in his apartment. After neatly folding the comforter, I make my way to the living room. My eyes fall on the couch where I see my ruffled pink blouse and white plaid pants laid out in a neat fashion along with my white open front sweater and woolen scarf. My bag is on the coffee table and before I can reach it to retrieve my phone, I'm interrupted by a mirthful voice.

"Oh hey, you're up!," I turn around and find Pierce setting a table for two on the back balcony. He offers me a cheerful smile which I have no problem in returning. His buoyant nature is contagious.
