As nick awakes we are now far away from what had went down last night as we think of what to do we are both very hungry and I need a rest from behind the wheel so we decide to find a place that we are safe to rest. Even thought nick had sleep most of the was while I was driving he still complained of being tired. I suggested the rodeo inn just south of Romeo. nick said no to the idea. He said it would have to be somewhere that neither of us had ever been. Somewhere were none new us. For we had to go somewhere were we would not be expected to go. Then again they would probably check the places that we wouldn't go. So it would have to be a place were they wouldn't expect us t go or to not go. It had to be a place that wasn't a obvious hiding spot like the cabin. Then again it couldn't be a non obvious place like in the middle of town. It would have to be a place in the middle. So it had to be a place that we have never been. It had to be neither in town or miles away from town and we could not know anyone there. It is really hard to pick a hiding spot where we've never been just like it is to find a good hiding spot at a friends house when you've never been there before. As I keep on diving I was going to tell nick to keep an eye out for a good hiding spot but I had almost forgot that he couldn't because he is blind now. As we come into the next town I see an old rustic motel. I decide to keep going even with the image of being in a bed. Besides it is to obvious of a resting place. As we get halfway thought town there is a high class hotel. Again I decide no its not obvious for us to stay there. When we get to the edge of town there is a middle class motel. I find it to not point out hiders but also not scream riches. As we pull in I decide that we better park in the back and tomorrow we should look for a new car since our's was all shot up and they new what we were driving and that would give us away as fast as anything. As we swing in the back I live everything that I had bought in the car for I need the room first. I help nick out of the passenger side. As I do that Yankee is just dieing to get out but I assure him that its okay we had to see if dogs were allowed. I lead nick by the arm for we had forgotten his cane if anything we could probably pull Yankee off as nicks seeing eye dog. As we make it to the front I worn nick that we are stopping and heading in I have nick walk in first as I am right behind him. I lead nick to a seat and set him down. As I head up front a woman is waiting there she kept on looking over at nick concerned almost she new right away that he was blind. When I got up to the counter she didn't wait for me to talk first she asked if he was okay I said he was fine. As we talked about the room cost she would still come back to the subject of nick she asked if needed any assistance. I said well I wanted to ask you if it was all right for my buddies seeing eye dog to join us in the room. She didn't even have to think about it she said absolutely. She even gave us the biggest room for the price of a smaller room. I got the key thanked her paid in cash and got nick and took him up to are room I told him that I would be right back and I told him not to get in to much trouble. As I walked out of the room I heard him snicker a little bit. I walked down the stars and through the lobby out side I headed over to the car and got Yankee out I decide I better wait for the beer so I just grabbed a bag of pork rinds and a pack of mountain dew. With Yankee's leash in one hand and the food in the other I head back in the lobby and back up to our room. As I get into the room I see that nick is already passed out on the bed he had taken the seat by the window and that was best for I wanted to be closet to the door in case anything went down I leave Yankee in the room with nick and the food. I head back down for another trip to the car as I get back to the car I am extremely tired I grab nicks suitcase id decide it wouldn't hurt to sneak a few beers in through the suitcase. As I take three beers out of the first six pack I open up the suitcase when on top I see a with a clip in it I was shocked was wondering what the heel was nick doing with a fully loaded gun. I move it over and put in the three beers and then load in three more emptying the first six pack. I close the trunk and zip up the suitcase and head into the motel lobby one last time as I carry the suitcase up stairs and let myself into our room Yankee is laying on the floor he raises his head when I walk in I put the suitcase in between the bed. I open it up and take out the glock and I put it on the night stand by my be and then go back to the suitcase I unload the six beer and put them into the mini fridge in our room. I decide to unload nicks stuff in the other chest of drawers. I put his under wear and shirts in the first drawer. His pants and shorts I put in the second drawer for it only had two drawers. As I finish up un loading everything I take off my shoes and my pants and lay in bed. As soon as Joe's head hit the pillow he fell into a deep sleep.
