I have now met Katelyn, Avery, Heather, Riley, and Clara, plus Troy and Derek. School starts tomorrow and I couldn't be less nervous. At my other schools, I didn't know anyone before school started, but this year, I'm sure I can count on Katelyn and the girls to show me where to go when I get lost.
Ever since the pool party, the girls and Katelyn have been lending their hands to help with the unpacking process, and today, we all hope that it's the last day. Me and my mom just finished breakfast when the doorbell rang. I told my mom I got it, and went to the door to see who it was. When I opened it, I saw the girls plus Derek and Troy.
Katelyn must of saw my reaction to the boys because she said, "Just in case we needed some muscle."
We all laugh and I invite them in.
"Alright, we have the guest bedroom upstairs to complete, some outdoor furniture to move, and some decorating to do. I'm sure the boys would love to move the outdoor furniture, wouldn't they?" I explain to the group.
"Nope, I don't think they would mind at all," Katelyn jokes.
"Alright then, all of us girls can start with the guest bedroom. We all understand?"
"Yep," they all say in pretty much sync.
We dispersed, and went to work.
After an hour or so, we had everything done, and no more boxes to be seen.
"Now, what to do we do for the rest of the day?" Derek asked.
"Pool party?" Katelyn suggested.
"Did you even bring your bathing suits?" I ask.
"Yeah, we kind of figured it wouldn't take long so we brought them just in case," Riley admits.
"There in the car," adds Heather.
"Okay then, pool party it is," I say to the girls.
"And what about us?" asks Troy.
"Uhh, I don't know. Katelyn?" I answer truthfully.
"Don't ask me," Katelyn says in her defense, "It's not my house or pool."
I laugh, "I know. I know," I take a pause. "I guess you guys can join us ONLY if you don't do anything stupid."
"Yes!" the boys said, and instantly after that, they ran outside to the pool. Me and the girls waited a few seconds before hearing a big splash. We all laughed, and headed upstairs to get changed into our bathing suits.
We soon join the boys and party it out with a bunch of laughs and smiles. We got take-out for lunchtime and had ice cream afterwards. Heather had to leave early because she had some last-minute school shopping to do. Can't believe she didn't do it sooner saying that school starts tomorrow, but whatever. Riley had a family gathering she had to get to, and Clara and Avery needed to get home because their grandparents were up. Clara and Avery are sisters by the way. So that just left me, Katelyn, Troy, and Derek.
"So what now?" I ask the remaining people of the group.
"Movie night. Well movie afternoon?" Katelyn teased.
"Sure," says Troy.
"I'm in," answers Derek.
"Okay then. I'll get the popcorn. Katelyn, you got the movie?" I direct.
"Yep," she confirms.
"Alright then. Let's do movie afternoon," I laugh.
As I went into the kitchen, Katelyn and the boys went into the living room to put in the movie. Moments later, I come in with the bowls of popcorn, and we press play.
