Second Day of School. Hope its better than the first, but then again, the first day wasn't that bad. Not as bad as I thought it would be anyway.
I get out of bed and walk over to my closet. I pick out a black skirt, a black and white top, and camo heels to represent my dad.
After brushing my hair to putting makeup on, I was ready for the day to begin. I went downstairs into the kitchen to make myself some breakfast. My phone buzzed and it said I got a text from an unsaved number. I read it anyway:
Hey Summer,
It's Troy. I remember you saying that you played soccer so I figured it would only be fair if you wanted to tryout for the school. FYI, it's today after school. I can give you a ride home again if you want. Hope you can make it. See ya at school.
I reply by saying:
Thx Troy! I'll make sure to be there. C ya soon.
I quickly brush my teeth, and pack a bag for tryouts. I get another text just before I was gonna text Katelyn for a ride.
Mom:
Check outside the front door.
I get another text instantly after my mom's. It was my mom again.
Mom:
Happy Birthday, Summer.
I thought that was odd, but I looked out the front door anyway. A car was parked in front of my house!! I think I'm gonna text Katelyn now.
Hey Katelyn? Meet me at my house. ASAP!
She replies instantly.
Okay. B there in 10.
I text my mom back saying:
Is this car mine!?
All yours sweet heart! <3 she replies.
Sure enough, Katelyn arrives in ten minutes. She parks the car right behind the new car. It takes her a few seconds to get out of the car, and I'm guessing that's because she was stunned as much as I was.
"Wow! Where'd you get this?" Katelyn comments.
"My mom texted me 'look outside the front door' but I didn't expect this."
"This is so awesome. Are you riding this to school?" Katelyn asks.
"Only if you think I should," I gave her a grin.
Katelyn gives a grin back, and I take that grin as a big, fat yes!
"Well, I'll follow you to school then," I tell her.
"Wait, do you even have your license?" she asks concerned.
"Yeah, I've had it for a bit. Just never had a car to go with it," I explain.
