Harry waved goodbye to his parents. He was unsure about how he felt in that moment. Excited to explore something new to him? Or maybe sad that he won't be able to see his family in a long time? Regardless to this, he made a move to look for a place he could sit on the train till the rest of the journey.
The train was massively huge. He has never seen a train like this before. It was almost as he could already feel the magic, even if he wasn't in hogwarts yet.
He couldn't find a compartment without any people in it, so he decided to look for one with the most friendly faces he could spot. He saw one with a girl with wavy hair, anxiously reading a huge book for her age, and a boy, who was looking out of the window. He knocked on the door, which made both faces turn to his direction.
-I'm sorry - he said - but I couldn't find any space on the train. It's very cramped. Could I sit here with you?
-Sure! - The boy said with a smile on his face, and Harry returned that smile as he sat down on the side next to the door. He looked at the girl and he smiled brightly at her. She returned the smile, and went back to reading her book.
-Soo, what's your name? - The boy asked.
-I'm Harry. Harry Potter.
The boy looked at him, a little bit unsure.
-Is something wrong? -Harry asked.
-Your surname sounds familiar, that's all. My name is Isaac Wilson, And that's Hermione Granger - he pointed at the girl. She raised her head, but didn't look at neither of them, continuing to read her book. -Don't mind her, she needs to finish that book before we get to Hogwarts.
-What is the book about?- Harry asked, curious.
-Oh, it's the history of hogwarts. Have you ever heard of it?
Harry shook his head. He saw it on the book shelf they owned back in his house, but he never had a chance to read it.
-Hermione is my cousin. Well, not exactly. Our parents met eachother when we both were toddlers, and we grew up to be cousins. Kind of. -Isaac smiled.
-What house would you want to-
-I'm finally done! - The girl said, sighning. She placed the book on the small table infront of her, and looked at Harry and Isaac.
-Hi, I'm Hermione Granger. - She said, smilling at Harry.
-He already knows, Herm. - Isaac told her, smilling. Hermione ignored it.
-So, what's your name?- She asked Harry.
-Harry Potter.- Harry repeated.
She looked at him, confused.
-Strange- She said - I'm pretty sure I heard that name before. Do you think you might be related to anyone important, that I may of heard of in the books?
-I.. I don't know?. - He said. He knew that his family was quite big, but that was it.
For another hour, the three of them were talking about the houses that they will be in in a few hours. Harry quite enjoyed that conversation. He knew his dad and mum were in Gryffindor, and that's where he wanted to be. They changed the conversation to talk about quidditch, while the doors slid open.
The person who stood there draw a big attention to Harry. She had long brown hair, green eyes and freckles. She stood there, frozen, looking at Harry. Harry forgot how to speak, looking at the girl in silence.
-Isaac, could I talk to you for a second?- She said.
-Sure.- he got up from his seat and followed the girl.
Harry looked at them until the doors closed, and then he turned to Hermione.
-Hermione? - He said.
-Yeah?
-Who was that girl?
-Oh - She rolled her eyes. - Her.
Harry didn't understand what was going on, so he just kept looking at Hermione, waiting for an explanation.
-Well, that was Evie Driggs. We've met before, I didn't particularly like the style of her school life, but that's her choice. Did you know that she has never read the history of hogwarts before?
But Harry didn't listen. He was too far gone with his own thoughts. Why didn't Hermione like her? Who couldn't possibly like someone as pretty as her?
For the rest of the journey, Harry was looking through the window, thinking about what will happen to him. Which house will he belong to? What grades will he have? What friends will he make?
And most importantly, will he get a chance to talk to Evie?
I am so proud with this chapter omfg. It took me ages to write it, I even wrote the end of this chapter while watching Hp and the deathly hallows part 2, but I hope my hard work paid off and that you enjoyed it as much as I did :)
