Chapter 3: Waking up

"Where am I?" I mumbled under my breath with my eyes still closed.

"Courtnee, thank heavens you're alright!" Peter ran over to me and I opened my eyes.

"Peter, why are we still here? Why aren't we back at camp?"

"Well, ummm... about that... we're kind of stuck here."

"What?!?!?" I dramatically questioned as my eyes were trying to get back to normal.

"Courtnee, Queen Lucy..."

"Queen Lucy what?"

"She pulled the flower out of the ground. She made the building collapse on us. We're lucky we survived. Sam and a few others swooped in and brought us to safety over here where there was only the floor to lay you on. The mutant meetings are no more."

"What do you mean the mutant meetings are no more?"

"The chief is... dead..."

"No, you guys can't just give up hope like that!"

"Courtnee, it's not going to be the same anymore. Chief Kota really did pay for us and this hall."

"Eden, don't say that, come on guys, don't you want to go home?"

"Yeah but how?"

"I've got a few tricks up my sleeve. Watch..."
