Chapter 10: More familiar faces

"Everyone get ready! Hold together! We can defeat whoever wants to..."

Out came more mutants from all sides.

"...battle..." I softly said.

There were 5 mutants that everybody found familiar- Brian, Seth, Hallie, and 2 others, Adam and David. Adam walked out into the open with short, dark hair that shined through the moist fog with pants and a black leather jacket on. David had 5-inch, dirty blond hair with glasses that had been a bit fogged up and gray by the environment.

I shape shifted back into my normal self and got ready to fight my best friends... again.

"More mutants that got caught? C'mon Queen Lucy I know you're here!" I screamed, "Show yourself!"

I waited for a few seconds for her to show up, but she didn't. I knew she would sooner or later, so I got myself ready for that time, mentally and physically. I knew she was coming for me, but it wasn't quite the right moment for her... yet.

I tried to talk them out of being on Lucy's side as I did with Brian in the last battle, but it didn't work. I wasn't surprised by the outcome. None of them could hear me trying to convince them they're on the wrong side. I needed to make up a plan for them to all stay in safety in the clutches of my friends. I called over Zach and Sam and told them my plan. Zach had dark colored hair with brown eyes and tight denim shorts. With his invisibility and his ability with weapons he could go around everybody and hit them, knocking them out. Then, Sam would swoop down and grab the ones that he made unconscious and put them in the carriage that Hannah made.

"Fight back!" one the controlled mutants screamed.

Zach made himself invisible behind the carriage, so it wasn't obvious to anyone else. Sam waited for Zach to knock out a few people, so she could gather them. Zach went around and started to hit the familiar people, while Sam got them to the carriage. He started with Brian, then to Seth. When he got to Hallie, Hannah also got knocked out and fell to the floor.

I ran over to her, "Hannah! Stay with me! Hannah? Hannah!"

I called Sam over to help me get Hannah in the carriage that was almost surrounded by Queen Lucy's mutants. I shape-shifted into a horse once more and ran to the transportation device.

"Retreat!"

Sam hooked me up to the carriage as fast as possible and closed the door. She lead me out the way we came in. I ran as fast as I could and we got out safely. What I didn't know was Adam reached out while we were all running and touched one of the mutants on our way out.

New mutants:

Adam: mimic other powers with the sense of touch

David: steel skin, magnetic manipulation
