Chapter 6: Fighting the queen and Sean...

Sydney called all of the animals to their presence, like massive wolves, rabbit sleighs, and fast horses, that will get them to their destination. Once at their destination, they met Queen Lucy outside of the battle arena, that they haven't used in years, right next to the entrance of Queen Lucy's castle.
"You know, Court, I haven't been on this thing in years. You know it's only so big, and that's how far you get to run. Hope you don't plan on winning or living this fight Courtnee, because I've been waiting for this moment for so long! And now I finally get to kill you!"

"You will try to, but good always wins over evil! I actually plan on winning this one Lucy!"

"But I have fear, and fear always works. And I'll make every mutant go to my side one by one, to keep it that way!"

"Trust me, it won't work!"

"Oh, but like I said earlier, fear always works!!!"

Then, suddenly, out came more mutants that went missing over a period of time, from when we got to this place to now.

"I've been saving these mutants for this special occasion, and this special occasion only, Courtnee!"

As I looked at all of the mutants who Queen Lucy kept in her castle for years, I saw one in particular that was very familiar to me.

"Brian?" I whispered to myself.

"So you do remember Brian! How delightful!"

Queen Lucy walked up to Brian. "Do you see that girl right in the middle there? Bring me her head!"

Everyone had a concerned look on their face, including me.

"Brian, Brian, it's me, Courtnee! Wake up, Brian!"

"Sorry blonde but he can't hear you."

"Fight the power that she has over you!"

"Oh but he can't help it! And I armed them all with special swords, just for you and your friends!"

"Brian, you were my best friend, Brian! Brian, wake up! I know you can hear me, Brian! Brian, please!!!"

"Alright, less chitter chatter, more battling! CHARGE!!!!!"

I ran straight into Brian for my first opponent.

"Brian, listen to me! I don't want to hurt you, but if it means I have to, then so be it. We are all your friends. But, Queen Lucy, on the other hand, is a thief, a lier, a bad mutant. These mutants that are fighting with me are just some of the most beloved mutants I have ever met in my entire life. You can be a part of that puzzle and you can change your entire life style, with us!" I was trying not to harm my friend that I had loved so much, but if I meant I had to then I would. I wanted him back. "I know you probably can't hear me right now, but you have three seconds before I bring you back as part of the family. One..."

I got ready to finally have him as a normal mutant...

"Two..."

I got to where I could knock him out and then... he transported behind me and back stabbed me, shoving the sword through my stomach.

Brian let me on my knees. He leaned over to my ear, and whispered, "Three..." He took the knife from my back and let me fall to the ground.

"COURTNEE!!!!!!" Peter screamed as my body was splattered with blood.

Peter picked me up and laid me down on a bench as Sofia got ready to heal me.

Queen Lucy was laughing and pointing at me as we lost the fight.

"Next time, Queen Lucy, next time!" Peter exclaimed.

"Next time, you'll be dead!"

Sofia leaned over me, "This might sting a little." She wasn't wrong. The healing only intensified the pain but I knew it was the right thing to do.

After the healing was over, I thought about Brian. When and why did he leave? Questions scattered around my mind like lost sheep.

"Why did Brian and all of the others leave?" That's the only question I've had since the first time people started to leave and the never came back. I just wish life wasn't so hard. Don't you?
