On the second day of class, you decided to talk to her.
"Hey," you spoke hesitantly.
She looked up with a shocked look,
As though you would never talk to her
Unless you're without your friends.
"Why aren't you with your friends?" she asked,
genuinely confused, "Why talk to me?"
You shrug, not knowing either.
"Oh," her mouth moved to the O shape.
"Well then. So how's your day been?"
You smile your charming smile at her,
"It's only second period,
but it's been good so far."
"Cool," she smiles that bright smile
you see everyday,
whether she's talking
to the nerds or jocks or artists.
"Cool," you repeat,
wondering why
She's never with a specific group,
but with all the groups.
