Chapter 1- Meeting Yato

*Your POV*

You were now, walking aimlessly down a road in Japan. You didn't even know how you ended up here!

'I was just walking for a while... Maybe fate brought me here! Well, that's stupid.' You thought. As you walked down the street, you saw that a little boy was crying, all by himself. You walked up to him and smiled. "Why are you crying? Don't worry, I'll help you." You said.

He looked up and stop crying, and pointed at a black haired dude, with mesmerizing blue eyes. "This guy- *sniff*- took my candy..." he started to cry again. 'What a horrible guy! Stealing candy from a young child!'

You walked up to him, and confronted him. "Did you take this boy's candy?" You questioned. He looked confused.
"I don't know what you're talking about! Oh, and the boy stole you're purse." He said pointing at the boy.

You looked behind you, to see that the boy was running away, purse in hand. You sighed, "I got played again..." You were lucky that your phone and wallet were in you front pocket.

"I'm sorry for accusing you!" You bowed your head, and he looked surprised. "N-No it's fine! B-But..."
But? You looked at yourself and noticed that your bra strap fell off your shoulder and onto your arm.

You quickly put it back on, and noticed that he was staring at your boobs. "H-Hentai!!!" You drop kicked him, and he passed out. 'Crap! I didn't mean to do that! What do I do with him now? Maybe I can take him to a shrine...' you thought hesitantly.

You were on, somewhat good terms with Gods, but... well, the problem is, is that you haven't seen them in 300 years. You quickly bought a map, and luckily, found an abandoned shrine.
"This is perfect!" You walked up the stairs, and opened a door that led to a room. "Sorry for the intrusion..."

You laid the guy down, and found some old blankets in the closet. You went outside, and dusted them, and brought them back inside. "Ok, that's good enough." You said to yourself.

You put down a thick blanket, and put the weird guy on it. You covered him in another thin blanket. You, did the same for yourself, and fell asleep.

Next Morning....

You woke up to birds chirping. You slowely opened your eyes, and you felt something warm around your waist. You looked behind you to see the guy from yesterday, hugging you from behind.

'W-What is he doing?! Why am I blushing? Ok, calm down (Y/N)... I can do this...' you thought. You carefully, removed the arm off of you, and replaced yourself with a pillow, which he happily hugged.

You got out the room, and felt hungry. "The supermarket is only down the street, maybe I should get him some food as an apology..." You thought out loud. You walked down the stairs, and saw a restaurant that seemed quite cheap. You walked in, and placed a To-Go meal for: Cheese Pizza, Takoyaki, and two waters.

After you got the food, and paid, you went back to the shrine. You opened the door to see that he was still sleeping. "WAKE UP!!! BREAKFAST IS HERE!!!" You yelled. Immediatly, after you said breakfast, he woke up.

"Where am I?" He asked scratching his head. He seemed tired. "I accidently knocked you out yesterday, so I brought you here, since I don't have a home yet. Oh, and as an apology, I bought you breakfast." You handed him half of the pizza, and half of the Takoyaki. You also gave him a water.

His eyes sparkled. "Are you sure?!" He said while drooling. 'Has he never seen food before?!' You thought.
"My pleasure." You answered while eating a slice of pizza. He instantly dug in, devouring a piece of pizza, while almost pouring down the takoyaki down his throat.

You laughed as he finished, and he begged for more. You gave him a piece of Takoyaki. "Say ah." You put the Takoyaki in his mouth, as he chewed while blushing. 'He's kind of cute... NO!!!! A God can't do that!!!' You thought.

You started talking to him, and learned that his name was Yato. You were going to ask him another question, until a ayakashi broke off the roof of the shrine. "Damn it! I don't have a shinki yet!!!" You said and pouted.

Yato looked surprised. "You're a god too?!?!" He said. 'Wait, he's a god?!' You thought. You jumped into the air, and kicked the ayakashi in the face, and grabbed Yato's hand. "Let's get outta here!!!"

He nodded, as you two ran for the city. "(Y/N), what type of God are you?" He asked. You two were now sitting at a café, drinking some smoothies. "I hate to say this but... I'm one of the gods of calamity." You sipped at your drink, while avoiding eye contact. 'This is the part where the God starts to leave ne behind, saying that I'll bring him or her bad luck...' You thought.

Then, Yato replied, "I hate to say this also, but I am also a god of Calamity... but, it seems that we have both changed our ways." He finished, giving you his signature smile. Your eyes watered up a bit, and you hugged him tightly.

*Yato's POV*

Oh God, she's hugging me! Wait, I'm a god also... people are staring. Why is my face so red!?!? I feel warm drops on my jersey, wait. Is she crying? Well, it does feel nice... to have someone who understands... I hug her back.

*Your POV*

You finally let go of him, and stopped crying. You two started talking again. It was nice to have someone understand. "So what happened to your Shinki?" Asked Yato.

You sighed as you told your story. "Well, the thing is, is that I don't really have a shrine. I don't really want one. Also, my old Shinki, kept on betraying me, so my back would hurt from the purple stuff, so I released him." You explained.

"What happened to your's?" You asked. He told his story about his Shinki, and how she couldn't take it anymore, and you sweatdropped, "I think any woman would have snapped after that."

You both laughed, and decided that it was time for you two to get a Shinki. "Look! Here's one right here!" You said. "I call dibs!" You gently touched the light, and called out to it. The light turned into a guy who looked in his teenage years, maybe about 15- 17.

"W-where am I?" He said. You explained that he is now your Shiki, and you thought of a name. "Your name will be Akira, meaning bright. And you're summoning name will be Katsu, meaning victory." He nodded. We all started walking again, and you were already liking Akira as your familiar.

He was straight to the point, and a bit goofy. It will be fun to have him as a companion. Later, Yato found a spirit, and took him in as the name Yukine. The two shiki got along quite well, if you must add. Soon, you four, had to find a place for cover. You headed back for the abandoned shrine for the night.

You're already liking where your life is going... if only it can stay like this forever...
