Olivia heard the distinct chatter coming from Emma's headphones. "Em, can you turn that down a little?" Olivia asked her sister as they walked through the high school parking lot. "It's really loud."

"Oh, yeah. Sorry." Emma sighed before turning the volume down.

"Em, hey." Olivia heard Brooke say as her and Riley ran over to them. "Why haven't you answered my texts? I know you've been getting them. They say 'read'."

"Hi, Riley." Emma completely ignored Brooke and kept on walking. Brooke let out a groan and walked beside Olivia.

"What are you listening to?" Riley questioned her friend.

"That True Crimes podcast." Emma told her. "They're covering Nina's murder."

"True Crimes?" Riley's eyes lit up. "I'm like addicted. They have a crazy huge following. I can't believe their talking about our Nina." To be honest, Olivia was even more obsessed with the podcast than Riley, but that was one of her many geek secrets.

"Well, Nina did always love being the center of attention." Olivia sighed as she looked down at all the texts from Jake.

"Yeah, even apparently with Will." Emma snapped.

"Em, wait." Brooke said to her, and Emma stopped walking. "Look, I'm sorry. I should not have dropped Will's indiscretion like that at the party."

"No, you should have told me when you found out." Emma snapped at her.

"I know, I know." Brooke shifted around. "But you know how Nina could be when you crossed her. She'll terrorize you. Seriously, I was scared of her." Emma looked up at her. "Emma, I'm really sorry." Brooke told her, sincerely.

Both Riley and Olivia looked up at Emma with hopeful eyes. "Okay." Emma nodded. "I'm still pissed, but you're on probation."

"Okay, I would do community service for you." Brooke joked. "I'd even wear an ugly orange jumpsuit for you."

"Well, I'm touched." Emma smiled.

"Thank god, I can call off the intervention." Riley smiled as the four continued to walk into the school.

"Hey, have you guys gotten any weird phone calls lately?" Emma quickly changed the subject.

"If by weird you mean Jake calling you a million times, trying to apologize for his idiotic behavior, then yes." Olivia said to her sister.

"That's not what I meant, Olivia." Emma sighed.

"Then no."

"I'm talking about creepy mysterious weird." The three other girls gave her questioning looks. "This guy called me, and said something about how we all pretend to have perfect lives online, on like Instagram and Facebook."

"Then this guy must be ancient if he thinks we still use Facebook." Brooke scoffed as she spoke.

"It's probably just Jake being a douche, once again." Olivia nodded at her sister.

"Yeah, probably." Emma agreed. "Maybe."

Olivia was making her way over to Nina's memorial to see all the weird stuff people wrote when she heard, "There's her best friend, Olivia." She saw Noah running over to her and started to push her closer to the memorial.

"What are you doing?" Olivia asked him.

"You'll see." He pushed her towards Audrey and a girl with glasses, holding a notebook. "Olivia Duval, meet Piper Shaw."
