Tomikaru x Koharu--Be Mine?

Tomikaru and I are best friends. We've never been seperated from each other like ever. Well, except when he went on missions. I have a secret. I love him so much. I mean, he's handsome, right? But he already has a girlfriend. Her name is Kyrlie (Carly). She's beautiful, so I wouldn't blame him for dating her. Her long blonde hair, her bright blue eyes, she's tall. Which is great, right? Wrong! I want him to be mine. Although, I've never seen them kiss not one time.

I was walking down the sidewalk when I ran into Tomikaru. I fell on my butt and all my papers went flying everywhere. I look up at his angry face that quickly softens when he sees me. He helps me up and catch my papers.

"I'm sorry, Koharu! I didn't mean it!" He says, politely. I nodded and smiled. I didn't want him to know the reason why I wasn't looking where I was going. These papers are really important.

"That's alright, Tomikaru. Thanks," I said. I was about to say something else when Kyrlie showed up. I smiled at her. She smiled too, but I knew it was fake.

"Hey, how you doing?" She asked, clinging to his arm. I knew what she was doing, but I won't let her win.

"I'm alright, thanks," I reply. It goes silent after that. Then Kyrlie speaks up.

"C'mon, Tomikaru. Let's go do stuff together," she said. I look at him as he smiles.

"Of course, baby. Let's go. Bye, Koharu," he said and they walked off together. I hate her.

Days went by and I haven't seen Tomikaru anywhere. I wonder if it's because of me that he is not coming outside. I sigh as a knock on the door was heard. I got up and answered it. It was Melk. She smiled at me as I let her in.

"Hey Melk. What's up?" I asked her. She shrugs.

"I was wondering on how you were doing. You know, with him and all," she said. I sighed again.

"It's like he doesn't like me anymore. We used to hang out everyday for at least five minutes. Now that he has that girl, it's like he barley knows I exist," I reply to her, silent tears running down my face. Melk sat down next to me.

"Hey now, don't cry. It'll get better, I promise you. He'll regret being with her, trust me on that OK?" She said. I nodded.

"Come, let's go out and see a movie together. Just you and me. How does that sound?" She asked, hopeful. I nodded again.

"Alright. Let's do it," I said and stood up.

The movie was hilarious and romantic. Melk knows how to cheer people up.

"How're you feeling?" She asked, once out of the movie.

"I'm great, actually. Thanks Melk. I really appreciate it," I said. She nodded and smiled.

"No problem. You were sad and-" she suddenly stopped talking and looked behind me. Her smile faded instantly. "Don't look behind you now, OK?"

I turn around and see something I didn't expect to see. Tomikaru and Kyrlie were kissing.

"I'm so glad you're friend isn't here right now," said Kyrlie.

"Yeah. She's just a burden," he said. The world went blurry for a minute and spun.

"Tomikaru?"

He turns and looks at me with wide eyes. It was silent, but his eyes told me everything. I walked out of the movie theatre in tears. I knew he followed me out.

"Koharu! Koharu wait!" He screamed after me. He grabbed my arm and spun me around.

"What do you want?! You kiss someone you barley know?! Who does that? And why would you say that about me?" I shout.

"I didn't kiss her, she kissed me," he said. I roll my eyes.

"Oh, I didn't hear that before! You knew I was there! You looked straight at me, then kissed her! What kind of friend is that?!" I yell as the tears never stop coming.

"Koharu I'm sorry. I-I should've never done that. I-"

"I don't want to hear it. You should know that I love you. From the very beginning. Have fun with your girlfriend," I said.

"You know, you're being very overdramatic. I am in love and you're just saying that you're in love with me so I can break up with Kyrlie," he replied. It went dead silent after that. His eyes widen once he realized what he had said.

"Koharu-"

"I must go. See you later, Tomikaru," I said and left, hearing the words "Koharu, wait!" Coming from his lips.

Weeks went by and I heard nothing. Nobody could get me put of my room for a while. But then I thought of what he said; how he thought that I was being very overdramatic. I mean, I think he was telling the truth about the kissing part, but what about the part where he said I was a burden? I became angry all over again.

A small noise came from my window. I thought it was nothing and turned over. It came again and again. I finally decide to open my window and see Melk and Rin standing under it.

"Hey! Come on! There's something you have to see!" Screamed Rin. I rolled my eyes.

"I don't wanna leave my house!" I yell back.

"Just get down here before we come up there and get ya!" Mell yells back at me. I sigh and close my window before getting dressed and heading out. Mell and Rin nod in approval and take me by the hand and leading me somewhere. We stopped at a hill. It was dark out, and lots of people were here. That's when the forworks started. The first said,

Koharu, please forgive me! -Tomikaru

I put my hand to my mouth as the next set of fireworks came up.

Koharu, I'm sorry for everything I've done and said....

I see him waving at me from the bottom of the hill. I ran to him and kissed him. I nodded.

"Yes! I'll be yours! But wait, what happen to Kyrlie?" I asked. He shook his head.

"Don't worry 'bout her," he said. We kissed as the fireworks came again and said,
