Sunny x Yumae--The Song and The Surprise

Sunny and I were just coming home from our third date. We had fun. He took me to a very nice restaurant. He had the famous chef Komatsu to cook for him. I always wanted to meet him! Anyway, Sunny and I were a couple and we did everything together. He got me gifts of the places he visited or went on a mission. I love him so much. Sunny dropped me off at my house and stood on my porch. I look at him.

"Yes?" I said. He chuckled.

"Just wanted to say goodbye," he replied and kissed my cheek and left. I sighed and went onto my house.

"Aw!" Came two voices from behind me. I turn around and scream.

"Whoa! Whoa! Calm down girl! It's just Rin and Melk," said one of the voices. I relaxed and turned on my light to my living room. I sat in a chair and stared at them. They stared back. You see, these two had a tendancy to sneak into my house and wait for me to come home.

Tell me that's not creepy.

Rin shifted in her seat and cleared her throat. She was dating Toriko and I thought that it was cute.

"Sorry we snuck into your house....again. But we wanted to see how close you two were. And you two are adorable!" Said Rin. Melk nodded and smiled. I groaned.

"You couldda just asked me instead of sneaking into my house!" I said and stood up. I headed into the kitchen and made myself some coffee Sunny bought for me. They followed and sat at the kitchen table.

"Again, we're sorry. I know we should've asked you and not sneak in, but at least we didn't steal or break anything-"

"Yeah! That's a new record!" Rin interrupted. I roll my eyes.

"Rin that was never a record. You broke something every time you came on here," I said. Rin put her hands up in defeat.

"Fine! But do you two at least have a song?" She asked. I looked at her, confused. We were supposed to have a song? Rin gasped at my confused face.

"Don't tell me you don't know what that is!?"

"I don't know what that is," I replied. She and Melk gasped.

"It's a song you share together that you both like," Melk explained. I nodded.

"So, it's a couples song?" I asked. They nodded. I sighed. I have a lot of work to do if I'm gonna find out what song he likes.

Days went by and Sunny hasn't been a great help to what song he likes. I've been trying to get it out of him for days. I've even hinted it. Once, we were walking down the sidewalk of a fair and a song I lover came on. I said,

"I love this song!"

Sunny only glanced at me. I sang the whole song by myself and Sunny was just listening.

"Did you like the song, Sunny?" I asked him. Sunny shrugged.

"Eh. It could use some work. Oh! A song booth! I'll be right back," he said and left. I groaned and saw Rin and Melk waving me over. I glance at the song booth and head over.

"What's up guys?" I asked.

"Great! We've had a lot of fun for the past three hours! I see you're here with Sunny. How's it going with you two? You know, with the song and everything?" Asked Melk. I sighed and sat down with them at the table.

"It's like he doesn't even know what I'm talking about. I even straight up said it once and he was all like 'Yumae what are you talking about?' And I'll be like 'nothing, never mind Sunny' and he'll be like 'oh, c'mon babe-'"

"There's no way in hell I'll ever talk that way or say those things to you. What're you three talking about anyway?" Sunny interrted.

"If you don't know what we're talking about, how do you know we were talking about you?" Asked Rin. Sunny rolled his eyes. They both started arguing and Melk and I just sat there awkwardly until they were done. Sunny then turned to me.

"Yumae, about why I ran off into the song booth like that was because I knew you wanted us to share a song, so I went and picked one. It's 'You're The Reason Why' by 'Victoria Justice' and it reminded me of you and the way I feel about you," he said. I teared up as he went up to the DJ and asked him to play the song.

We then slow danced in the middle of the room, the whole restaurant watching. When it ended, he knelt down on one knee, pulled out a ring and said,

"Yumae, I love you so much! This song made me realize just how much I love you and how much I need you in my life. Please marry me?"

"Yes Sunny! A million times yes!" I shouted and the whole room clapped for us as I kissed him.

That's when I realized how much I needed him too.
