Riska's POV

I just gave my number to Damen, I just freaking gave my number to Damen James!!! I thought dreamily, then a sadness came upon me at the fact that he might be already taken. I shouldn't be thinking like this. I sound like a desperate girl. I headed up to my locker with a bounce to my step. When I arrived at my locker, I swapped materials and tried to maneuver my way through the hallway traffic.

I stood at the bus stop for about twenty minutes, then I decided that I should just go ahead and walk home. After a few minutes of walking, I heard running footsteps behind me. I turned around to find that kidnapping van across the street and the two guys again. Oh come on, I'm being kidnapped again. No way not gonna happen. I dropped my stuff and started running, but they were faster than me. They caught me and shoved me roughly to the ground. It was obvious what their intentions were and I thought that this was my end, until I heard someone rushing our way. I closed my eyes tightly, because I know that even if that person came to help, he couldn't possibly win a two against one fight.

The person pulled the guy that was on top of me and I heard a disgusting crunch, lots of groans of pain, and few thumps of bodies that hit the floor a few feet away from me. After that I heard retreating footsteps. Someone kneeled down next to me, and I still didn't want to open my eyes to find out who it was. I stay stone still, hoping that the person would think I'm dead and move on.

"Riska? Riska wake up." A familiar voice said. I cautiously opened my eyes to come face to face with Damen with a mask of concern, relief and a hint of lust.

"Damen?" I choked out, hoarsely. "Is that you?" I sounded so broken at the moment.

"Yes, Riska. It's me. Let me take you home." He offered.

I bawled my eyes out on his shirt then when I was calmed down, he helped me get dresses and helped me onto his motorcycle. Wait, what.

"Uh no, I'm not getting on that." I said, pointing to the bike like it was a poisonous snake.

"Aw, come on." He coaxed.

Well, it was either take the ride on the blasted motorcycle or wait for the bus that never came. I decide to take the ride with Damen. Once we were situated, he started the bike, and rode onto the street. He followed the directions that I gave him, and soon enough we were in front of my house.

I got off the bike with wobbling legs, still unstable from the ride. "You can come inside." I said to him.

I walked to the kitchen, and dropped my keys on the island. Damen came in a few seconds later with awe on his face. "Nice place." He commented.

"Would you like something to drink? I got watermelon juice." I offered, trying to shake off the awkward silence that fell between us.

"Nah, I'm good." He replied.

Now I couldn't help it. the question about his availability was plaguing me. "Do you have a girlfriend?" I blurted.

Damn, now I sound like a jealous little girl. Slightly, lost in my self chidding, I missed Damen's answer.

"Excuse me, but, can you say that again?"

Way to go, Riska, what a first impression. Note the sarcasm.

"I said, no I don't have a girlfriend, but I am looking for one." Was his answer.

That statement seriously caught me off guard and then suddenly Damen leaned down to kiss me. His lips were hot and damanding. I couldn't help but wrap my hands around his neck as he pulled me towards him by my waist. His kiss was so passionate, that I started feeling butterflies flying in my stomach. I was too caught up in the kiss to hear the front door open.

"Riska Keisha Manonsese Reedings!!" My mom yelled out.

We parted and I winced at the sound of my full name. Uh oh, I'm in big trouble.
