After my mom heard the story, tears stream down her delicate face and she walked out of my room with her face cupped in her hands. I stayed in my room all day. Matt, Eric, and Sam all had tried to call me, but I ignored thier calls. Everytime the phone would ring, it reminded me of how often Riska would call me. I didn't go to school, I barely ate. All I would do is wake up take a shower, force myself to eat, and go back to bed, and repeat it everyday until Riska's parents go back.
I gave Riska's parents a day to get settled in then called Matt and Eric to meet at Riska's house. We all dressed up in black suits and we went to Riska's house. We walked to the porch and I rang the doorbell. Mrs. Reedings opened the door and smiled at us.
"Why hello boys. Why are you dressed in suits?" She asked.
Mrs. Reedings looked me straight in the eyes and her smile dropped. "Where's Riska?"

"Come inside." Mrs. Reedings moved to the side so we can enter.
Mr. Reedings came into the room in that moment and he seemed happy about something but one look at us and his wife switched his mood instantaneously.
"Mr. and Mrs. Reedings, I'm sorry to inform you of this but.... but Riska is dead. She was shot in the heart a few days ago." I choked out.
It all but took moments to let the words sink in and tear shattered across Mrs. Reedings' face.
"But you promised that you would put your life before her." She sobbed. "Mackenzie, how could something so terrible happen to our baby girl?"
Riska's dad didn't respond and that caused Mrs. Reedings to turn around. I looked at him too and saw that he looked paralyzed. He was non-moving and had a shocked look frozen on his face. Two seconds later he slumped to the ground.
"Mackenzie? Mackenzie!!!" Mrs. Reedings screamed as she ran to his form and crouched down before him, then taking his hand to look for a pulse.
"His pulse is low." She said.
"I got him." I said, authority sounding through my words.
Mrs. Reedings moved aside so I could get to her husband but gave me a look.
"You couldn't possibly lift him up. The man is built like a machine. Even the Big Show wouldn't be able to carry him." She said to me.
I gently tugged Mr. Reedings body to a sitting position before throwing him over my shoulder. A look of disbelief crossed Mrs. Reedings tired face.
"You are pretty strong for your age, Damen."
I turned to her then. "That is why I am the crew leader. A crew is made up with people who has unusual abilities. Mines is strength, Matt is our mastermind planner and Eric is the weapon machine. Riska was agilitated, a rare ability that we have only read about."
A thought crossed my mind and I told Matt to go find the specific parchment that has Riska's ability written.
"Mrs. Reeding-"
"Marie. My name is Marie."
"Ok, Marie. Stay here. I will have your husband back before nightfall."
Marie nodded and sat down on the couch looking at nothing.
"Do you want me to drop you guys home?" I asked them.
They nodded and slid on their seatbelts.
"You know. I wonder how you don't attract police. You drive like a racecar driver. Where you get that from?" Matt said as I pulled up to their house.
