"I can't believe it." I barely heard. "After years of futile tries of making this machine and it being destroyed before we can finish, its nearly done. "

I slowly opened my eyes. The world is blurry and spinning. I can't see anything. My legs gave under me and I slumped to the floor, only I didn't hit the floor. I was being held up. I carefully raised my head and I saw that my wrist were handcuffed to a wall.

"Well look at that, one of our subjects is awake" The guy looked at me. "You're gonna be tested first." He laughed as it was a joke.

I tried to yell, but my throat was sore as I was screaming for hours.

"W-what do you want from m-me?" I choked out, then cursed at my self.

"RISKA!!!!!" I heard Damen yell. "Where are you?"

The blurried vision, the spinning, they instantly vanished as it wasn't there. The strange confidence overtook me.

"The machine is done. The MACHINE IS DONE!!!!" I heard cheering on the other side of the wall.

"Time to be tested." The guy said again, walking towards to me and unlocking the lock.

As soon as I heard the click, I snatched the key from his hands, stabbed him in the neck and pushed him square in the chest with both hands. He staggered backwards and started coughing up blood. He then slumped to his knees and fell down face first on the cold stone floors. I walked to they guys' lifeless body, crouched to his level and pulled the key out of the guys' neck and wiped the blood off of the key with his shirt. Before I can stand to my full height, I see a switchblade in his back pocket. I took and wedged it between the bow on my shirt, concealing it.

I took this time to contact Damen. "Damen. I'm ok. Where are you?"

"Good that you're ok. Have you seen Matt or Eric?"  He asked me, while I took shelter against the wall adjacent to the door.

"No, I haven't seen them. I broke out of my chains and I suggest that you do so too."  I told him and I heard him grunt.

I began to take in my surroundings. The strange confidence have not left me on my own, and it made itself known by forcing me to walk towards a hidden door that was on the same wall that I was taking shelter against. As soon as the door closed behind me, I heard someone enter the room  left.

"Hey Ethan. We waiting fo-..WHAT THE HELL!?! Ethan's dead." Some person yelled. "The test subject.....She escaped. GO. FIND HER NOW!"

Upon hearing that my pace automatically quickened. I found myself walking into a pitch black room and I couldn't see anything until the light suddenly blinked on and I'm surrounding by ten men. TEN FREAKING MEN WITH GUNS POINTING AT ME. The strange confidence vanished and it was replaced by fear.

"Hello there missy. Why don't you get in the chamber and we won't hurt you."The speaker said, while advancing towards me and I cowered back. With each step backwards the circle of men took a corresponding step forward. When my back hit a glass wall, I knew that I was finished. The speaker slid the glass door shut and I hung my head in defeat. Some men split up and started working on various machines that I think controlled the chamber that I was in and the other group of men stood pointing guns at me as if I would try anything to try and get out. Pfft.

The door slammed open, revealing a worried and cold Damen. The suddenness of his appearance made one guy jump and he lost his balance and he stumbled backwards into another guy and made him pull the trigger and sending a bullet towards me, to my heart. I didn't hear anything, I just saw shattering blood-stained glass all me. I should of felt some kind of pain, but I felt nothing. I moved my hands to my chest and pulled away and I looked down to see blood covering my hands. I looked back up and I saw Damen running to me in slow motion, and I felt myself falling to the ground. Damen was still running in slow motion by the time I hit the floor.
