I walk to the edge of the large rock that Madara and I had been fighting on to look for Obito. I scan the area below looking for where his body may have landed, but my search came up short. I then turn around and scan the top of the rock and see him standing next to Madara's dead body, looking down at it. When he feels my hard gaze on him, he turns around with a smirk on his face, and a hole through his chest.
*clap clap clap*
"Do you know that you just killed the leader of the attack against the whole village? I may take you with me when I'm done beating you." Obito says cockily and steps over Madara's still body.
"So, was it him that put you up to killing my family and I?" I question as I take a step forward, my sword back in my hand as I get ready to rekindle the flame of anger within.
"No. I did on in my own accord. And you know, they weren't your real family. I killed the other Dāku ages ago, probably about 18 or so years ago." I grit my teeth and nod my head at him. 18 years ago, I was just born then. I then stagger forward, my sword raised ready for an attack. I'm not going to lie, I'm absolutely exhausted, this is the worst I've ever felt actually, but that doesn't stop me. I run full speed at Obito. His eyes go wide at how fast I'm approaching him, but he smirks nonetheless.
I go to swing my sword at him, but soon realize the reason he was smirking so broadly. I feel a sharp pain in my lower stomach as my breath leaves my body completely, my sword still hanging mid-air. I look down to see Obito's hand inside of my body, blood pouring from the wound. I cough deeply and my blood spatters across Obito's face. He begins to chuckle as I fall to my knees and onto the ground. My world begins to fade as I hear my name being called my a familiar voice.
"HALEIGH!" I hear Naruto yell as I see a small spot of orange coming toward me.
"NARUTO, LEAVE!" I yell, blood still pouring out of my mouth.
"But-" He yells from the distance.
"FUCKING LEAVE YOU IDIOT!" I yell again as I fall into complete darkness. I hear a faint dripping, which I assume is my blood leaving my body, and hear a soothing voice calling my name.
"Am I dead?" I think to myself, but my voice echos around me. I flicker my eyes open and see complete darkness surrounding me, the dripping still audible in the background.
"Almost. You will be if you don't absorb some of my energy." I hear a familiar soft voice ring through the darkness.
"Mother?" I question as I stand on the familiar glowing water.
"Yes dear. Now let me in. You won't be in control, but you will live." She says. I can feel her energy surrounding me, but I don't open up.
"Then no. I want to see him die. I want him to die by my power." I say stubbornly as I try to hurdle myself back to my body.
"Honey, you will-" Mother begins.
"No. I'm leaving." I say as I feel massive pain enter through me like a tsunami. I groan in pain as I open my eyes, which flicker upward to see Obito standing over me with my sword. He smirks broadly as he sees me awake.
"What was that you were saying about watching the life drain from my eyes? Well dear, the tables have turned!" He grunts as he swings the sword down toward my heart. I gasp as I see the blade coming down and add chakra to the palms of my hands and clamp them down on the blade, stopping it about and inch from piercing my skin. I grip the blade and throw it to the side, with Obito still holding on, cutting my hands deeply.
I roll over onto my stomach and push myself up off of the ground, blood still leaking from my stomach and hands.
'I've got to make all of these hits count.' I think to myself as I form a Chidori in the palm of my hand. I run at him, not at full speed, to cause a distraction as my sand slowly creeps up behind him. Just before my hand plunges through his heart, he grabs my arm and throws me to the left, causing him to stagger to the right, directly into my sand.
I add as much chakra to the sand as I can without passing out again, or worse, dying, and watch it cover a shocked Obito. As soon as the thick layer of sand is up to his elbows, I form some hand signs and make an even thicker layer of ice around the sand. It wasn't meant to kill him, but hold him long enough for me to rest for a moment.
I fall to the ground with one hand on my knee and the other on my stomach attempting to stop the leaking, but to no avail. I try to ignore it as best as possible and slowly drag myself over to my katana and pick it up from the ground. I take one more deep breath and slowly get back to my feet and stagger over to the sand ice prison with Obito in it.
"You're pathetic you know. You're what, 40, with much more experience than me. And I still caught you with the same tactic I used to catch that dead piece of shit over there. You must feel disgusting." I growl as I wipe the blood from the side of my mouth, then from my blade.
"I will admit, I underestimated you greatly, and for that I apologize." He says as he slightly bows his head at me.
"This is for my loved ones, and my voice." I say as I lift the katana over my head. Obito closes his eyes and holds his head high. I stop my sword dead in its tracks and lower it.
"Open your fucking eyes." I say to him. He sighs and slowly opens them. All of the sadness and rage from the past and present pours through me as I look into his eyes. I raise my hand in front of him and begin to slowly squeeze my fist together. He begins to groan in pain as the sand and ice crush him from the outside in.
"I wanna hear you scream mother fucker. Just like my family did." I say as I squeeze my hand tightly enough to completely disable him, but not kill him. He screams out as blood pours from his mouth and the bottom of the sand.
"I can feel your bones cracking, can you feel it? Or maybe your body numb from the overload of pain." I say as I raise my katana again.
"Look me in the eyes." I say. He pants heavily but opens his eyes once more.
"Now. This is for my family, and Dei, and to get my voice back." I say as I swing my sword quickly to the left and slice his head from his body.
