Honestly I can't remember how I discovered hedgehogs or started to like them. Although I think I fell in love with hedgehogs the day there was in my driveway(It was dusk so the hedgehog wasn't wandering around during the day). The hedgehog stayed still enough that I could pet its' back(I know I said to not pet wild hedgehogs but the hedgehog stayed still and I approached it slowly). Sadly I didn't take any pictures of the hedgehog.
