"Chill guys, I know I'm awesome but this is getting out of hand. You know what? You two can share" I said that and uncontrollably started laughing while the two of them glaring at me like I'm the weirdest thing ever.
I cleared my throat and continued "Jeffery, we need to talk"
"Umm, yeah sure"
We went outside with Michael's eyes following us.
"What's up" Jeffrey said curiously.
"What happened to you? How did you change your mind? Or should I ask who changed it?" I asked smirking evilly.
"Umm, I'm a little embarrassed actually" he said looking at the floor playing with rocks that are not even there.
"From what? There is nothing to be embarrassed about, is she not good enough for you? Is she not as rich? Or not as pretty? Is she-"
He cut me off "NO! She is perfect, I mean P-E-R-F-E-C-T" he spelled it –I went to kindergarten, I know how to spell-
I looked at him with a blank expression "so what's the problem?"
"I didn't keep my word, I-"
"What word?"
"If you let me finish I'll tell you"
"Okay! Chill –god-"
"I didn't keep my word to you, I promised you I will came back to you, I promised that I'm going make you happy, I told you to wait for me so we could overcome it together, but I broke that promise, I made you wait for nothing, for my ass to come back with news you don't want to hear, I'm a jerk, I'm so sorry" he looked at the ground, I can sense that he was feeling apologetic towards me and guilty for breaking that promise.
I lifted his chin up so our eyes could meet "hey hey hey, what the hell? Who told you that? I love you but not the way you loved me, that's why I rejected you, it's a normal thing to move on from something that wasn't a thing from the start, it's not like we dated, I am not your responsibility, you don't have to think that you are that one who must make me happy, I'm not that weak girl anymore, I can make myself happy, I swear I can manage"
He hugged me tight "thank you Elsa, thank you for not being weak, for forgiving me, for not judging me, for understanding me, thank you a lot"
"You matured a lot" I smiled to myself
"Thanks to you I did"
"I don't think that's a complement"
"It's not"
I pulled back and glared at him.
"Stop glaring, you scare me"
"Oh right, who's the lucky girl?" I winked.
"Umm, that will be a surprise, you'll love her, I promise"
"Will you keep that promise?"
"HEY"
"I'M KIDDING"
"Better be"
"Let's go back, Michael is going to kill me"
"Yeah Michael" he smirked "he is the jealous type"
"He is not, what if I said to you that your girlfriend has a fiancé and you should meet him, what will you do?"
"I would kill him and then kidnap her, she is mine! Forever and after"
"And my boyfriend is the jealous type, ha?"
He clears his throat.
"Let go back inside"
"Sure"
Michael was sitting on the sofa burying his chin in his palm, when he noticed us coming he asked "done talking?"
"Umm, yes" I replied.
"Good"
"Now for a real introduction" I said.
"Ha?" Michael said and kept his mouth open.
"Insects are going in there, watch out"
After I said that he closes his mouth immediately.
I continue "Jeffery this is Michael my boyfriend, Michael this is Jeffery my best friend from day one"
He smiles widely and genuinely -how much I miss that smile-
"Nice to meet you" Jeffery said offering a handshake.
"I could think of nicer ways" he said sarcastically but shakes his hand anyways, and of course sending death stares to me, God help me.
