YOUR POV

its been a few weeks since they called their lawyer. nick has called to apologize multiple times. every time i just hung up. i don't know what to believe. is he really sorry or not?

today we're going to court. I've never been so nervous before. the lynchs have really helped me with this whole thing though. i heard a knock on my window. i opened it.

"ready al?" Ross asked. i nodded and then i shut the window and headed downstairs with Ethan.

we met in the lynchs driveway and then we all piled into their van. I'm so nervous. I feel like I'm making a mistake.

"its gunna be okay." Ross whispered in my ear as he grabbed my hand. I slightly smiled towards him then he hugged me. "ill be right by your side. this is foolproof. you're gunna win this." he said reassuringly.

"i really hope I do." I said to him while looming down at my lap. we just pulled in and the trial began. half way through the trial nick was being interrogated by my lawyer and then this officer that's been on the case. I looked into his eyes. he started into mine. he looked..hurt.

he didn't look upset about being in court, he looked upset for me. its like he was really sorry. I knew he was. I stood up.

"im dropping the charges." I announced then j heard a huge gasp.

"are you sure?" my lawyer asked as she placed a hand on my shoulder.

"yes." I said while looking into nicks thankful eyes. the same ones I fell in love with. I blocked everything out and I faintly heard he sound of the maker and the judge speaking.

"case dismissed."

"ally." I heard while I felt someone grab my shoulder. I turned to see my blonde bestfriend. "what happened?" he asked.

"I know it was an accident. he's really sorry. he didn't mean to hurt me. he was just mad. let me go talk to him.." I quickly pushed past him to Nick who looked as shocked as everyone else there.

"thanks." he said to me. I nodded. "i really am sorry. I don't know what happened. I've never hurt anyone before and just thinking about what I did makes me sick."

"i know Nick. you're a good guy and I can tell you're sorry."

"i really am sorry. I just still can't believe what I did..."

"everyone makes mistakes.." he smiled slightly.

"thanks again for dropping the charges."

"yep." we quickly hugged then Ross came and pulled me away from Nick.
