Chapter 2

The next note Matt found on his coffee cup was:

"I think you're cute."

This one definitely made more sense to Matt. Though did Ryan really think that? Or perhaps one of the female baristas wrote that note. No. Ryan was the only one who wrote on Matts cup. It was definitely him. Did he mean it? Was he just messing around with Matt? Matt wasn't exactly sure and thought about completely ignoring the messages as he walked out of the coffee shop. Though he wouldn't. Instead, he went home and prepared a small note for the next time he would see Ryan.

He slipped the note inside the was of ones that he used to pay his coffee with. Instead of leaving with his coffee as he usually would, he sat down at a table. He watched quietly as Ryan found the note inside the cash and opened it. He seemed confused at first, but slowly read the message Matt had prepared. Matt went over what he said in his head as he watched Ryan.

"Ryan,
I'm not sure if you really meant those messages or if you were just messing with me. I want you to know however, that I think you are cute as well.
~Matt"

Ryan smiled and chuckled slightly. Looking up and for a moment locking eyes with Matt. Matt quickly looked down, getting flustered as his cheeks flooded red. He got up and took his coffee outside. He was a bit embarrassed to see Ryan again but was kind of eager to see what the next note he got would be.
