Wolverines and Shelter

Wolverines did to us what we planned on doing to them. I began running as I saw people I have known for years die and people I never met do the same. I couldn't handle the carnage so I ran. I ran far and fast. Straight to the truck and drove forward. Running over a few bodies from both teams. I didn't care, I needed to escape.

I drove all the way back to the center of the city where I saw someone under the passenger seat. It was Tristan.

"I fucked up man." He said to me.

"Its okay, we're alive. Let's keep it that way." I told him.

"Chris and Joey are in the back. We ran here right when the attack started." Tristan said.

"Smart." I responded.

I drove to the gun store I robbed earlier. I got down.

"Where are you going?" Asked Tristan concerned.

"Hold on. Trust me." I said as I slowly walked to the entrance of the store. When I entered I had a huge sigh of relief.

"Bruno! Your alive!" I yelled out happy.

"Legends don't die." He responded with a smile. When he stepped forward I saw a wound on his waist.

"What hapenned?" I asked.

"This would be a great story to explain after the purge." He said giving me a hint, not right now.

I got back in the truck where everyone was sitting.

"What are we going to do?" I Asked Tristan.

"My parents own a super secure warehouse downtown. I know the pass code to get in. Once we get there we will be safe." He said.

Chris was built up in tears and repeating "why the hell? Why the hell? Why the hell?"

"Shut the fuck up!" Yelled Joey at Chris.

"Relax." Said Tristan.

I began driving and almost instantly we ran into one of the wolves vans. There van flipped and we just backed up. Than they pulled out automatic gun and began firing. They shot a tire while I was turning and are truck flipped and we fell down a hill into a steep ditch. To make things worse, the car was on fire.

Everyone stormed out of the car and into the woods stumbling and scrambling as the rain drizzled down we could hear the water smack down on the leaves of the trees.

As we ran we looked like a bunch of savage rats when you shine light at them.

We heard loud speaking and yelling behind us but the wolverines didn't dare enter the woods.

"If we stay in the same direction we should end up around my aunts house. Maybe she can help us out a little." Said Bruno.

"Good idea." Said Chris.

We ran until the point where your feet stomp flat and all of your organs begin to have pain. Where you breathing is super limited and you just want to drop dead.
