10. Uncertainty

You must understand.

If you ever push me away

Or just need some distance from me

I won't cling to you or chase you.

I will let you do what you want to.

But I might not be there anymore

When you're ready for me again

Because I've been there,

In that same position,

In the edge of uncertainty,

So many times than I care to count.

It's worn on me.

The time and effort seem like

Minute, dispensable things.

It will hurt me,

Probably for a long time,

But it's a whole lot better

Than the uncertainty.
