Unwanted Royalty

Chapter 7

Alex's P.O.V.

Eve informed me that we need to head to the office and collect my schedule.
On our way there a group of girls came our way. There was a short skinny brunette one that was in the middle front and two shorter ones behind her back.
The view looked so cliché when everyone on her way backed up to give her space as she walked.
Once she got in front of us she gave Eve a disgust face and turned to me giving me a very uncomfortable cheery smile.
"Hey there, I heard you're new here" she asks but I take more like a statement.
" ya. Actually I'm on my way to pick up my schedule " I say returning my usual tight smile.
" Well I guess I'll see you at lunch. Chaw." She says and leaves flipping her hair while holding out her designer prada bag. Her two minions glare at Eve and follow her lead.
" what's their problem?" I ask turning to Eve.
" we're just not in the same economic and social group so we prefer not to interact." She shrugs.
Once we get at the office the assistance principle printed out my schedule.
I had AP Calculus in B14, Gym at G, AP Physics in C17, AP Psychology at E28, Lunch break, AP Biology in B32, AP Chemistry in C41.
Well that's a lot of science and zero language I say to myself as Eve interrupts by saying " That's a lot of advanced classes" as if she herd what I said. "And I'm not as smart so we only have psych together" she says looking at me with a frown appearing on her face.
" it's no problem if you can help me pick up my books and show me where my home room is" I say smiling widely.
" of course " she says
We make our way to the resource room and looked for the books I need. While I was signing out some books we heard them announced by saying " All scholarship students head to the auditorium, I repeat, all scholarship students head to the auditorium" through the speakers.
As I try to carry some of the books I signed for but Eve stops me "No your good they don't need royal students so just finish signing for your books and go straight to home room" she says and leaves without telling me where home room actually is.
I finish signing out my books ( which are very heavy by the way) and I try to find my home room which is in H3.
While I make my way there I hit a wall and drop my books which is unexpected cause I'm not clumsy.
I don't look up as I bend down to collect the books that have fallen. But someone has already picked them up.
Then I look up to see a very hot and good looking guy staring at me with a smile playing on his lips.
He gave me half of the books he picked up. " hey I'm Aleck so sorry for this. I guess I was not looking" he says as I begin to chuckle.
" what?? Is there something on my face" he says turning red as tomato. I just witnessed the hottest boy if ever seen blushing in front of me, by me.
" No. First off I was the one that was not looking and secondly I'm laughing because our names sound very similar." I say in between my chuckles.
" Let me guess is your name Alex." He says and I nod as an answer.
" actually it's Alexandra so it's Alex for short." I say.
" I haven't seen you around. Are you new?"
" yes I'm new. And I'm really lost right now." I say hoping he would help me again.
" do you know your locker number?"
" nope. I think it's on here though." I say handing him my schedule which had my gym and book locker numbers and combinations. He goes through it and starts walking after giving me a signal with his head.
" This is good cause your locker is right in front of mine and we have the same schedule except the fact that I don't have psychology." He says his smile growing wider.
We walk to I think my locker and he opens it for me cause he already saw my combination.
We put in my books in a locker bigger than my old closet and we walk to our home room.
"So are you a royal?" I ask
" yes but I don't hangout with them as much."
" why?" I ask again getting more curious.
" we don't get along" he answers shortly.
" I'm the same and I have only one friend. Her name is Eve and she is a scholar."
" Eve is my friend too. I mean we have the same group of friends"
" Good cause I don't don't want friends that don't appreciate being together" I say
" who says I'm your friend?" He says seriously.
" well....um..... I just assumed" I say turning red.
" I'm kidding cupcake" he says laughing "but you should have seen your face" and I just embarrassed myself more.
We enter the home room, I go and sit in the back corner and Aleck sits next to me.
The teacher introduces me to the class and takes the days attendance. When she's done Aleck pulls me up and we get out of there.
Then we get to the elevator and go to B14 calculus. Through all this Aleck was still holding my hand and I wasn't complaining. By the time we get there students are filling the table so we go to the back.
The teacher was nice at the first but got a little bit meaner by the end. Once the bell rings Aleck again pulls me out of the room.
He showed me the girls locker room and I opened the locker with my number on it. I found 3 clean sport outfits, body washes, shampoos, shoes, towels and a water bottle filled with ice cold water.
Amazed I wore one of the sporting outfits and got out of there.
Once I was out, I saw that I was the only girl that didn't wear a cheer uniform.
While I was trying to find Aleck, I saw Lucas sitting on the benches with Amanda on his lap. They were laughing at something but as soon as that Aleck came right in front of me blocking the view.
" these shorts are working for you" he says shamelessly checking me out. I blushed and looked away.
He chuckled at my reaction "so are you any good at basketball?"
" well my brother thought me the basics." I say remembering him was hard but I knew deep down that there was no way out of that marriage.
"Are you in there Alex?" Aleck asks frantically waving his hand in front of me. "Ya I guess I zoned out thinking about something." I say with a fake smile.
We went to the center of the court and the coach asked us to divid ourselves into two groups. He was surprised I wanted to play with the guys but he didn't forbid me or anything.
We ended up having Lucas and his friends in one group and Aleck and I along with some others in the other. I have Lucas a glare and walked away to my position putting my game face on.
