Chapter 13 (2/2)

-Time skip to work-  

We get to work and walk upstairs. I look in the window as Adam unlocks the door. "Adam, where's Em?"

"No idea." he says, really confused, as we walk inside. I look around, no one's there. 

(For this part, the italics in "quotation marks" is them whispering.)

Then, I remember, "Adam."

"Yeah?" 

"You remember the April Fool's prank video they did on you this year?" 

"Yeah...?"

"Follow me." I walk to the un-used office, they hid in for the video, and open the door. "Hey guys!"

"Shit." everyone says.

"How'd you know we were in here?" John asks.

"You guys don't think I watch Adam's videos? I was his first subscriber." Everyone oohs as  I look around the room and spot Max, smiling like crazy. I bite my bottom lip, then look away, kind of embarrassed.

Oh my God. I never do that! What the fuck is happening?

"Anyway, Happy Birthday, Maggie!" Michael says.

"Happy birthday!" Everyone says, in sync.

"Thanks, guys." I say, hugging everyone, leaving Max for last. Everyone else walks out, so I close the door and hug Max.

"Thank you."

"For what, Maggie?"

"I don't know.... You saved my life, as a starter." I say, like he's stupid, then giggle. 

"As a starter?" I nod, sort of embarrassed, still in his arms. "What else is there?"

"There's a lot, too many to tell you, now." He rubs my back and kisses my head. My eyes widen. 

"M-Max?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you-" I look up at him and he's staring right out the window of the door. I turn to see what he's looking at, and see Adam, holding his vlog camera. "Adam! I'm gonna count to three." He doesn't move. "One!" He steps back. "Two!!" Two steps back. I squeeze Max's hand as an 'I'll be back' motion. "Three!" Adam bolts and I chase after him. After a round around the office, I catch up to him and pounce, tackling Adam to the floor, right next to Max. I hope the people downstairs don't mind....  I pin him to the ground. "If I see that anywhere, Adam...." I feel someone grab my shoulder. I look to see that it was Max. He helps me up, then Adam. 

"Let's go work." Max says, Adam and I nod, in agreement. I hug Adam then head off to my station. 

A few minutes later, I get a Skype call from Adam. I look on my schedule and see that we're doing a 'Minecraft Never Have I Ever.' "Great...." I answer the call. Soon enough, Max, Ross, and Michael join in. 

Then, Adam starts his recording. "Hey guys, Sky here, and today, we're playing 'Never Have I Ever!' I'm joined by YouTube sensation RedVacktor, Ross, Max, and Maggie!" He explains the rules. "Okay, I'll go first. Never have I ever NOT liked someone in the offices."(Since they play it backwards.) Adam, Ross, and Red move up. I look at Max's character and move up. Max tilts his character's head down, then up before Adam's turns around. "Oh, Maggie.... Get back there."

"What?" I giggle as I move back. I couldn't see Max's expression, but I could definitely tell he was happy, considering he made a little happy breathe in sound. "Okay, my turn.... Hmm..." A few seconds go by, as I remember one episode of 'Never Have I Ever'. "Oh! Never have I ever listened to a song on repeat, for forty-eight hours straight, without listening to anything else." Max and I move up.

"No fair!" Michael and Ross, say.

"No you haven't, Maggie." Adam says.

"Wanna bet?"

"You have no proof."

"True. You right, you right."

"Really?" Max asks, annoyed, but cute.

I turn around to his character and get in it's face. "Yes." I go back to my lane. 

"What song?" Ross asks.

"A song."

-Time skip to after video, brought to you by Adam bragging about being on a Lady Gaga Music video-

Over Skype, after Adam did his outro, he asks, "Wanna go grab lunch, guys?"

R: "Yeah."

Mi: "Okay."

Max: "Sure."

I was staring off, smiling."Maggie?" Adam asks. I came back.

"Sure.."

"What's wrong, Mag?"

"N-nothing."

"Maggie.."

"Adam, I'm fine!" I snapped.
