Natsumezaka Shiki x Reader | Illusions of You

Walking wobbly down the school hallway, you spotted a bench there and decided to sit. You let out a groan, holding your aching head.

That night's nightmare still haunted you. The night before too... and the previous night too.. Everyday, every single day, you had a nightmare which involved him. It was a different one each day but.. he was in each one of it.

You wondered why... That fallen angel didn't even frightened you. You had finally barely talked now.. Why did you have to dream about him everyday? Not to mention they were all horrible dreams...

You sighed and stood up, heading towards your classroom.

After all the classes ended, you immediately headed back to your house.

The way there was peaceful... There were a lot of people on the street, most of them were smiling and laughing with their friends, although there were also a few who looked sad. You moved aside as you almost bumped against a couple, you looked at them with curiousity before shrugging, and started walking again. You lifted your head and properly looked at the street before you. Your mouth went agape as that fallen angel who haunted your dream everyday was standing a few meters away from you, looking at the other way.

You felt like your heart almost stopped beating and went into hiding, 'W-What should I do..!?'

A few minutes passed, you finally had the courage to come out and looked at the road again, 'He... is already gone.' You breathed a sigh of relief and continued your walk, calming yourself down as you do.

Waiting for the traffic light for walking to turn green, you looked around trying to savour the scenery. When suddenly, he went into your sight, this time looking directly into your eyes and smirked a sadistic smirk. Your body shook, remembering one of the nightmare you saw. Clutching onto your own body, you managed to lessen the shaking. You had your head hanged low, staring at the ground, trying to calm your breathe. You finally dared yourself to look at that way again and found him nowhere...

Fortunately, the rest of the trip went without anymore disturbance.

Laying on your fluffy bed, you groaned while staring at the screen of your phone. It was 12 AM by then, you of course, after experiencing all those nightmares everyday, you eventually gave up on sleeping.

As you read through the news about your favourite anime in your twitter, the incident that afternoon came into your head.

'Was he playing a prank on me? Trying to make me think I saw his illusions or something? Or was that because I was like, reeeally afraid of him cuz of the nightmares that I actually saw illusions of him..? Dammit.'

Frustrated, you closed your twitter and watched some anime to calm you down.

"Ggh...!

"Aagh... Bas..tard..! Agh!!"

You sat up and your eyes were blinded by bright lights. A few moments later, you caught up to your breathe and saw the clock; 5 AM, it said. "Dammit." You cursed, rising yourself from the bed and walked towards the bathroom.

You rubbed your eyes and yawned, you were sitting on your seat in the classroom. As you boringly stared at the teacher who was explaining, you felt someone touching your shoulder.

You turned around and saw that smirking fallen angel, you almost fell out of your chair and a yelp almost escaped your mouth. But then, the image of him faded... into your classmate, "What's wrong? Uh, can I borrow your eraser though?"
