Finding Him

Skyler's POV

We finally decide to go to the park. I liked how Grayson can take control, but i know that I can't get close the him. but, part of me wants to. I want to tell him everything, but I can't, because I can't trust anyone.

We started swinging on the swings.

*flashback*

"Why don't you trust me!" he yelled.

"Because you're a monster!!" i yell back at him.

I then felt a hot burn on my cheek. I dropped to the ground and held my hand. All i could do was cry. Cry because i knew he could do anything to me, and i couldn't do anything to him.

"Please stop" i scream at him. Then, everything went black.

*end of flashback*

"Why did you hit me" I whisper to myself.

"What?" Grayson says. "I didn't hit you."

I looked at him. I could feel my eyes tear up. I wasn't going to cry in front of him again i tried to tell myself. It kinda worked. i could only feel one tear drip down, and it was on the opposite side of were Grayson was sitting.

He then got up from the swing and went in front of me.

"Skyler why do you cry all the time?" Grayson asked wiping away my tear with his thumb. All i could do is chuckle.

"I wish i could tell you why, but i swear i can't." I did mean that too. All i wanted was to trust someone, because i know the last time i tried, it didn't really work out that well.

"Why can't you tell me? Please Skyler that's all i want. I want someone to trust me." he pleaded.

"Grayson I'm so sorry" i said looking down. "Maybe some other time. Maybe, but not now. If you want to stick with me, and start to trust you and you trust me, i will tell you. But Grayson, it takes time." I looked up to him and I could see he was hurt. I could tell that he wasn't used to people telling him no. I did truly wanted to talk to him. I could talk to him for days, and not even worry what he thinks.

It was about 12:00. "Do you want to get something to eat?" Grayson asks.

"Yes please!" I said. i wasn't really that hungry until he asked me.

"I know a pizza place down at the corner." He said. I just nodded and followed him.

We probably walked for 10 minutes and we finally got there. Grayson held the door open for me and I walked in.

"What do you like?" He asked.

"Anything" I replied looking at the list.

After we were done eating it was 1:30.

"My mom doesn't get home till 5 so I think i'll just go home" I said.

"Ok" Grayson said disappointed.

I walked home and unlocked the door.

"Thanks for ditching with me." Grayson said.

"No problem." i said going in the door.

"Text me" Grayson said handing me my phone. I looked at him confused and then i just blew it off.

"Bye" i said smiling closing the door. And that was the first time i really smiled in a long time.
