Finding Him

I liked hanging out with Grayson. He made me feel like i mattered. But i still couldn't get close to him, and it hurt me that i couldn't.

I went upstairs and closed my door behind me. Just 3 more hours till my mom gets home. And 3 more hours that i dont have to smell smoke and hear her yelling at the top of her lungs.

Ever since my dad left my mom started smoking, and drinking right when she got home from work. I just kept my door closed. I had my own bathroom connected to my room so i didnt have to go out of there.

I went downstairs to get food and bring it up to my room. I heard my phone buzz.

Grayson texted me:
Hey im bored wat r u doing?

I texted him back:
Oh nothing, just waiting for my mom to come home. If you want to you can come over, but my house isnt that fun.

I hate when i ramble all the time. I cant juat stick to: oh yea me too. You can come over. Nope i had to go on and on. But oh well it already sent.

I looked in the cupboard. I picked out a box of something and some crackers. I was about to go upstairs until i heard a knock at the door. I almost forgot about Grayson.

"Oh hey!" i say opening the door.

"Hey" he said back.

"Do you wanna go up to my room?" i ask.

"Sure!" he says.

Grayson then followed me up to my room. I sat on my bed and he aat on my couch acrossed my bed.

"I like your room." Grayson finally said.

"Thanks" i said. "What do you do?"

"That you have any board games, or cards?" Grayson asks.

"No." i said. "Im pretty boring." Grayson laughed a little.

I looked over at him and he was looking around at the room.

"I'll remember next time to bring something to do" Grayson said.

Next time. Next time. That kept echoing in my head. I looked at him, and saw that he was looking at me too. I looked down so he wouldn't see me blush.

Grayson's POV

I loved looking at her. Seeing her pale blue eyes. I hated seeing her like that. Even though i just meet her today, i wanted to help her. I wanted her to bright up and be positive.

She saw me look at her then she looked away. I saw her blush. She looked up and her eyes got brighter.

I really really wanted to help her. And thats what im going to do.
