Chapter 2: A Calm Before The Storm

New York City, Channel 5 NYBN news station: July 30th2013: 7:30 Pm

Stephanie Walker marched through the cubicles of the 12thfloor of her News stations editorial office.

She had a frustrated look on her face.

She was looking for her producer, Gary Palmer.

She found him working at his cubicle in the corner by the window.

He saw her and greeted her with a smile, "Hey Steph, got anything new for me today?"

"Okay Gary cut the niceties, what happened to my story?" Stephanie Walker asked with her hands on her hips.

"What do you mean?" asked Gary Palmer confused.

"My story I sent to you to edit. The one I sent you on the construction zone bombing a week and a half ago. It was due this morning, it didn't show up for my report on the bombing...I had no video showing the aftermath of the bombing, or the parts of me interviewing the construction crew workers afterward"

"But I finished it, I sent it to the Video room to run it when you were out there at the sight with your camera crew" Gary Palmer said in disbelief.

"Then where did it go?" asked Stephanie Walker.

That's when her eyes caught the live video feed on Gary Palmers computer. You see Gary loved his work, when he edited Video footage to make the recordings short but informed enough for the News reports that demanded the news footage. By taking the raw video and making it less fuzzy and static.

He was dedicated to quality video imagery.

He always had a News App on his computer set to the station's News channel, so he could see how his work looked on the live news feeds.

And right now, there was her rival. A terribly selfish Anchor-woman named Beatrice Fuller on the scene for a news update on the construction zone bombing.

"This is Beatrice Fuller with an update on the Events surrounding our fair city these past few weeks. A construction zone a week and a half ago was the site of a devastating blast that set back the construction of an apartment complex by three months. While it had been thought that a pipeline had erupted and caused the explosion. According to Chief Burns of the N.Y.P.D, Bomb Squad confirmed the blast had occurred above ground. Several radicals around the state have taken claim to having bombed the building zone as a "take that" against "corporate developer zealots", but these claims have yet to be authenticated. General Arcane is neither confirming nor denying that the stolen weapons may have been used in the bombing.

While SEVERAL unconfirmed cases claim to have seen masked people at the sight before the bombing. No footage has been found.

Descriptions of the masked people HAS been released however by the police who had talked to scattered witness's in adjacent buildings who had briefly seen the vigilantes in the construction yard with several other people

These masked people matched the descriptions of our own reporter woman, Miss Stephanie Walker, about the street "vigilantes" in New York just two days before the attack on City Hall.

A Hijacked S.L.E.E.T tank had been found destroyed by what can only be described as by being hit by high powered weaponry.

Then added to the list, a small bomb went off the same night at a high school in Brooklyn.

Thankfully no one was hurt in any of the attacks.

Although on the side having being said to have been seen in the same areas where thousands of people had been put in danger, and dealing billions of dollars of damage to public areas.
