My friend is dating this asshole that uses talking people out of suicide as his personal gain. He thinks that because he saves people that makes him a hero and better than anyone else when it comes to problems. Like I have saved people, but I do it because I genuinely care and appreciate them. I don't expect to be idolized or gain anything out of the situation. I care that the person I'm helping has a full life ahead of them. Yeah there'll be some bumps in the road along the way, but they can overcome them. I am really disgusted and disappointed that he ever used saving someone's life as something to make him a bigger person to make him a hero. He shouldn't want gain. And the only gain that he should want is to see the person that he helped, wake up tomorrow with a smile on their face and continue their life.
Sorry this just really pissed me off when I found out.
