I chewed on my gum and looked out the window of my class. Ms. Louis' voice was so boring and robot like. She talked slowly and had an IHateMyLife tone. Every day she caked her face with makeup and that same day she would finish the class with all of it smudge. She would cry to us about her problems with finding a guy. She would start off with a subject that we were actually supposed to know about then all of sudden compare it to her love life.
"Michael are you even paying to the subject at hand! You are just like my husband! Never paying attention and shit, how do you feel? I put all my heart into making this lesson just like I put my heart in my husband and I's relationship! Can you tell me what I need to do to 'fit' yall liking since I'm too boring for you guys!" She glared at each of us, low key taking all her anger on us.
Micheal a kid in our class, who honestly looked like he didn't care less about her lesson. He had nappy hair and wore a lip ring and had green contacts signaling that he was in one of the schools gang. He rolled his eyes and stuffed his headphones on his neck high above the bright gold chain.
"Look, bit- Ma'am, Ion give a fuck about your sappy little love life stories it ain't my fault-" Before he could continue, I butted in and I knew if I said something wrong she would just give us a 20-page essay about something stupid.
"Ugh, what I think Micheal means is that we want the lesson to be more interesting! Like, make us want to learn about it even if the subject is hard..." I fell off once I noticed everyone staring at me stupidly. My hands were up flying everywhere when I was trying to explain.
Shit, I hope I didn't make it worse.
"So by that, you are telling me to make my relationships-" Her voice was cut off once the bell rang through the school.
Saved by the bell!
My body fled the classroom and I was soon rushing to my last period.
"Write an essay on why kids should pay attention in class!" She screamed out making my groan. My gum moved around my mouth as I stuffed my things in my locker. I turned around and crashed into a back. My books flew out my hand and right when I felt like I was going to fall, strong hands wrapped around my waist and pulled me up. I made a weird noise expressing my distress. My eyes trailed from his wide chest to his face and up to a set of beautiful hazel eyes mixed with a little of green. I looked down and brushed the imaginary dust off my pants.
"Ugh..." I turned around and avoided his eyes and all the awkwardness that came with it. This boy was the definition of hot and breathtaking. He wore a snapback, joggers, a red shirt, and jordans.
"Damn ma, you ight watch where you going," I turned around and stepped back because we were like inches away and if I dare to move forward I would get to kiss those plump pink lips. He stared down at me with confidence and then smirked at me.
"W...what?" I pressed myself to the locker while crossing my legs. He was so damn fine, I would let him hit it!
"Ion know I just like what I see, ma," I clutched my straps harder as he bit his lip and stepped closer to me.
"Ugh, are you new? I can show you around but I don't-" He touched my cheek and I almost forgot that I was in the school hallway late for my next class. I almost forgot I was the ugly girl; the girl who's friends was better than her. I almost forgot Herald.
But, I wasn't exactly doing anything wrong, I never did say anything to his confession.
"I think I'll like that..." He said making me look up at him.
"Amara,"I finished for him.
"Sexy," He smirked and pressed my body to his before whisking away like some freaking vampire. I watch him stretch as he walked away laving me feeling like a different person.
Herald P.O.V
I smiled as I walked my way up to Amara beautiful self and wrapped my arms around her before leaving a soft kiss on her cheek.
"Beauty, you want a ride home?"She turned around slowly and gave me a small smile.
"I-I'm actually busy with something for somebody afterschool-"
I laughed, "So that's fine I can wait-" She interrupted me with a slight push on my arms.
"I think it'll be better if you just go home, I'm getting a ride from Nessa after she finishes practice," I look into her eyes and smiled at her.
"I'm straight with that," She smiled at me before turning her back towards me, I let the weird feeling go away and focused on the thought that she was finally mine. My class started and then some light skin fuck nigga walked in. The teacher called to him to introduce his self.
"I'm Trey," He said and looked my way and I immediately mugged him; imma need to watch out for this nigga.
