May have some Errors.

Hope you guys enjoy.

Sometimes have you ever wonder why people can be so bluntly mean? Like what you have done to them that makes them so mean. Is it because I'm not the most beautiful girl or that I don't dress like most of these basic girls at the school that I get treated differently. It's like how can a person be that cruel and mean.

I heard so many people say 'don't let them get to you' and I don't but there come a point and you do let them get to you. I had always had a burning dislike for some people in this school but now I just hate them.

I replayed the event that happened just now.

>  >  >

I sat with Nessa at the table doing my work quietly with Nessa. Nessa got up to talk the teacher  and I was left alone, minding my business. A boy walked up to me and looked at me - just looked at me. He made me nervous by the way he stared at me like he wanted to say something.

Finally, he said, "You know your ugly right?" He starred at me with a straight face and I stayed frozen. I couldn't think or even move, was he serious? I knew that I was ugly I had a mirror which I looked in every day expecting to reflect someone prettier every morning but each morning I'm just disappointed.

I wanted to yell and say something to defend myself but I could only stare at him in shock. Nessa came back and he smirked at me before looking  at her and smiling before leaving.

"You okay?" I nodded feeling the tears coming through even I wanted to keep it in but they were going to bust any moment so I asked to use the bathroom and ran to the bathroom where I was currently in.

I clutched my shirt and looked at myself in the mirror. Today I had on a pair of jeans, my plain black and white stripped shirt and my converses. The jeans that I wore were a little fitted than usual but still they were loose. Everything about me seemed average and just plain boring.

'You are beautiful'

His words sounded through my mind and I smiled a little. I picked up my bag and walk out the school because for some reason I wanted to see him again.

I remember when we still sat staring at our reflection through the mirror until his dad's yelled for him.

"Herald! We're leaving," Slowly I moved away from him and awkwardly crossed my legs.

"What ya'll doin' in there," My dad yelled from the living room.

'Herald' smiled at me and walked into the living room. I followed him watching his large frame and his muscles flex from his shirt.

"Hey dad," He humph and started down Herald.

Herald scratched his neck and put out his hand out, my dad stared at him then shook it bringing him closer, "No funny businesses," Herald nodded and waved at my mother and sister.

My parents walked their parents out and so it was only me, my sister and Herald left.

"So, I hope I see you again," He cleared his throat while giving me a smile that showed his perfect white teeth.

"O-"

"Yea...we hope we see you again too," I forgot that little brat was there. She smiled and twirled her hair around her finger.

"Isn't it your bedtime little girl," I reminded her. She glared at me then crossed her hands.

"Ion got no bed time,"

"Mooooom," Her eyes popped out and she cleared it up the stairs. I smiled victoriously turned around only to frown when I noticed he had already left.

Maybe I wasn't or was sadden by the fact that he left without saying anything else. The walk to my neighbourhood took me 10 to 20 minutes and soon I was dragging myself to my house because of the burning sun.

"Aye, ma let me get your number," At first I kept just walking cause I mean that person couldn't be talking to me.

No, defiantly not me, I kept a straight serious face on and tried to look forth and keep walking.

But...

I couldn't help but turn my head and I let out a smile when Herald came into view. He had a basketball in his hands and a sleeveless red shirt. I couldn't help to trail my eyes down to what was left of my imagination.

He wiped his forehead and crossed to the other street to come towards me, "Aww you were supposed to say...'that ain't how you ask fo my number I ain't like those other basic bitches..." He shrugged, "Or something like that," He snapped his fingers to make it more dramatic. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Hey, how have you been," He shrugged. My heart was pounding this was the first time I could have a convo with a boy without putting up my guard and feeling like completely shit. Not only had Herald had left a nice first impression on me but he was cute.

"You know just trying to be something in this world. I start at your high school next week," I nodded not knowing how to keep the conversation going but for some reason, I started to say some super duper shit that was very irrelevant.

"Yea....it's good that you're coming we could like..probably maybe-," I let out a breath as he clutched his stomach in laughter. "Ugh yeah, the school is an A school so yea...it's good f-for your," He set his ball down and I squeezed my eyes in embarrassment by the time he turned around I was finished yelling at myself in my mind.

"So why you ain't at school? Your school doesn't get out til like an hour," He raised an eyebrow and by now we had taken a seat on the sidewalk under the shade.

I looked away at his question, "Stuff,"

"What stuff?" He doesn't even know me like that and he trying to pry into my life. I didn't want to share anything with him at least not now.

"Because..." I looked around from his house ahead of the couple fighting over some bull. They kept going back at each other until the lady closed the door in the guy's face making the guy kick the door and spit on her floor. "Nothing, I got to go!" Panicky I got up but got pulled back.

"At least take up on my offer?" He stared at me making me sigh.

"Ion no...that wasn't a very good way to ask a lady for their number," He sighed. One second he was standing up next he's on one knee.

"May you consider my-" I panicked and covered his mouth before  pulling him up we looked at each other then busted out laughing. My heart was still beating furiously.

"That's not funny, I didn't mean to do it like that!"

H scratched his head, " So is that a yes?"

I looked at him...should I give it to him? He was funny, sweet, and was sexy but I don't know. I don't know him very much and if he is even in my age range. What if he turned out to be just like these niggas around here.

But he seemed different.

So Different.
