Hahaha, who gets the pic? Anybody? No? Oh okay😂😩

11-year-old Herald P.O.V

Buildings flew pass as the little boys jumped and fled the scene. Three went in, two came out. The two boys could hear the police sirens from afar. Finally, as they reached the old lake house behind the woods they could finally slow down and take a breather. 11-year-old Herald placed his hands on his knees shakily and didn't utter a word only breathe heavily while staring up ahead. The shorter boy placed his hands on his head and paced around. Herald slowly stood up and observed his friend. He watched as his friend sunk down to his knees and clutched the grass in his hands.

"This is your fault! If...if we just went back maybe he wouldn't be dead right now. It's all your fault you..." The boy trailed off and peered up at Herald, hatred in his eyes. The boy's eyes said one thing: he wanted Herald to be the one who got caught and shot. Not his older brother.

"Trey...I'm sorry-" Herald couldn't even get to finish his sentence before he was tackled to the ground and felt a stinging pain in his eye.

Trey had just punched him! He pushed the slightly smaller boy off him and pinned him to the ground.

"I'm sorry! It's my fault your right, I shouldn't have asked you guys to come and help me with the deal!" Herald stared down into the eyes of his former friend but he only saw anger and murder. Herald snapped his head to the sound of sirens and jumped up. "We have to go, let's go!" The sirens were getting closer and hadTrey stayed rigid rocking back and forth tears dripping like a waterfall from his eyes. Herald couldn't risk getting caught so he turned around and disappeared into the trees. He thought that was the last time he would have seen Trey but as he stared into the same dark eyes that held the same emotion before he knew he was wrong.

Herald P.O.V

"Where is she?!" I yelled at Trey and stepped up to where he was. I hoped he didn't think I was scared of him.

"Laugh. Out. Loud." I clutched my knuckles growing impatient with him and took a step up to him. His arms swung down to his waist and came back up with a gun. "You see that feeling you have clawing at your chest? Well, 7 years ago that's exactly how I felt. I asked you the same question 'where was my brother but you said not to worry and to keep running-"

"Shut. Up!" I tried to grab him but I heard before I felt. The bullet shot right through me that night.

"Say hi to my brother," My heart leaped for the last time before I was consumed by darkness.

Amara P.O.V

My arm swung out and landed on my alarm. I threw myself up from my bed and looked around widely. I was sweating and cold, the worst part was I couldn't remember what happened last night and how'd I got back home. All I remember was Trey, drugs, dancing and then...then nothing. I looked over to my sister who slept snoring softly. The corners of my mouth lifted up softly, she was okay. My hand came in contact with my phone as I threw the covers away from my body. Once I opened my phone my mouth dropped at how much missed calls I had. My parents mostly and Herald and I few from Nadia and them.

My room door was thrown opened and my parents stormed in. Both had robes on looking like they were drained out.

"Amara Bonnie Naveen!" My dad walked up to me and slapped the living heck outta me. My mouth dropped and I clutched my face, tears leaked out slowly. "Where we're you all yesterday!? We leave out of states for a few weeks and this is what happens? You left your little sister alone and went out to a party, got drunk and high!" I stared down at the carpet and cried softly.

"I'm sorry," I sniffed and heaved up and down.

"Hunny, go take a breather, I've got this," My own mother stared at my in distaste. "Did you know you were found unconscious by the police in the woods?" I sobbed and covered my hand with my mouth. "I'm so sorr-" My mother turned away but not before taking the wide eye Aliyah with her. I broke down in silence alone thinking about how my life took a turn for the worst. I've always wondered how people changed so fast or were influenced so quick. I use to say that would never happen to me. I would be the good girl forever, never would I let myself get influenced to become a bad person but I guess I was wrong. I didn't realize it then but my life seriously took a turn for the worst.

A few days later...

I was too late.

I didn't even get to say I'm sorry.

He was gone! Nobody had told me anything till my friends comforted me saying they were sorry for my loss.

I didn't understand my mind wasn't processing the fact that Herald was dead and Trey wasn't anywhere to be found. I had looked around left and right. Went to his house to find a sign saying it was sold. Went to the basketball hoop, everywhere he could be until I ended up in his funeral. I had finally found him.

But I was too late. It was too late.

Too late to say I love you.
