I wake up in the morning to Mist, my kitten meowing. I get up and walk down the long halls to the kitchen, i get out some tuna for Mist and grab a dark red apple out of the fruit bowl.
"Finally you're awake," i turn around to see Draco already in his black suit, "i thought you were going to sleep forever, its already 2pm the ball starts in 3 hours,"
"Oh, i didn't notice i over slept so much, you should've woke me up," i replied,
"But you looked so peaceful sleeping, what did you dream of?" He said smiling leaning on the counter,
I hesitated a bit " i dreamt— of my parents,"
"Oh," he said almost looking sad for me,
"Im going to get dressed, ill be back," i walked up to my room and got the golden dress out of the wardrobe, (a/n photo above of the dress + vanessas dress) i style my hair into a french braid and slip on my black heels, ring and black pearl earings. I walk back down stairs into the living room to see Draco sitting there trying to do his tie,
" here let me," i say and go help him,
"Thanks," he says then grabs my hand and starts pulling me outside. We sit on the bench outside near the rose bushes, Draco breaks the silence and says,
"Father got me into the Quidditch team, I'm going to be the new seeker," he turned to me and smirked,
"Thats great!" Draco had wanted to be in the team since forever,
"Yeah," we continued talking about it until Dobby came out to find us telling us the ball was soon to be starting, we got up and made our way to the ball room to meet Nacrissa and Lucius.
Nacrissa greeted us and told us people would be arriving shortly, a few minutes later a flood of guests came into the room and it began.
Draco and I were sitting at a table when Vanessa and Blaise came over with another girl, they introduced her as Elizabeth Royauté, she came from a rich muggle family, though she lives with her Auntie in Demark, she's said to be a good Quidditch player and might try out next year to be a beater, of course shes in slytherin a year above us. The night moved slowly people wanting to take our photos for the Daily Prophet and such. Me, Draco, Vanessa, Blaise and Elizabeth decided to go sit up in the library room where it would be quite. Elizabeth introduced us to a muggle game called truth or dare, apparently you go around the circle asking truth or dare and you have to chose one and have to do the dare or answer the truth question. We start playing and Elizabeth asks Draco,
"Truth," he says rolling his eyes,
"Ok um... Who do you fancy?" Elizabeth said smirking,
"No one,"
"Ok now you ask someone else."
Blaise then asks me truth or dare i say dare,
"Ok i dare you to kiss me," he said smirking, Vanessa glared at him as did Draco i just got up and quickly pecked him on the lips, lets just say Draco didn't like this he got up and stormed into his room, as for Vanessa she slapped Blaise and well Elizabeth she just sat there laughing. I knocked on Draco's door and heard him yell "piss off Blaise!"
"Dracy its me," i said "please let me in," he finally let me in his hair was messy and tie was untied,
"why'd you kiss him y/n? You know what he's like," Draco snapped when i sat down,
"Its just a game Dracy, it doesn't mean anything why do you care anyway?"
"I— ugh it doesn't matter, just leave me be," he snapped again and glared at me,
"Fine," i said and started crying, i left and went into my room.
