Chapter 2 - Not Again

And when you say

I'm not okay

I left my phone in the cab

And now you can't get me

I'm only gettin' started

I won't blackout.

This time I've got nothing to waste

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I lazily flung my arm over to my nightstand, slid my finger across the screen, and pressed the speaker button.

"Wakey wakey, Kenzie!!" Olivia's voice came through the phone.

"Mmph," I responded, not being able to form a coherent sentence due to my just-awakened state.

"Mackenzie Raquelle Taylor! Get up! It's already 11:27, and I've decided I'm taking you out to lunch, to make up for abandoning you yesterday, okay?"

          "Mmmm."

"I'll take that as a yes! I'll be at your house by 12, so hurry!" Then she hung up. Ugh. I stayed in bed for 10 minutes, then I rolled out of bed and changed into a pair of black skinny jeans and a Paramore t-shirt.

And when you say

I'm not okay

I left my phone in the-

"Who are you, and why is your number blocked," I say, agitated. Who even knew this number yet besides Olivia? And my parents, since I texted them last night.

"It's me," a slightly familiar male voice said.

          "Who's 'me'?"

          "Seth." Seth?!

"How did you get this number?!" I exclaimed. He didn't respond. "Did you break into my house?!?!"

"Well, uh, I wouldn't exactly call it breaking in..."

"Seth!!! That's not okay to start breaking into my house in the middle of the night!! You better not have seen anything you weren't supposed to..."

"Oh, no. I was in my human form, so I couldn't see anything in your room, but I managed to find your phone on the nightstand and get your number."

"I am going to kill you..."

"I wouldn't do that," he said. "The pack and I have something special for you later today, so you better come."

          "Okay."

          "Good."

          "Great."

          "All right."

          "Bye"

"Bye," he said, as I ended the call.

          Ding Dong.

Olivia was here. I ran over to the door and opened it for her.
