Midnight Beauties

Chapter 4

It was 10:00 the next morning. All the girls were up and ready. They met up in front of Mia's house.

Instead of using a cab like yesterday, Lucile's aunt was going to drive for them.

"So where we going girls?" Aunt Willa asked as she drove out the neighborhood.

"A beach here in Orlando. It's called...Cocoa Beach." Lucile said.

"Okay, that's a nice beach. Did you girls bring your sassy bikinis?" She said giggling. The girls nodded while giggling.

"Ooooo I'm so excited!" Mia said.

"Me too! If only vampires could get a tan." Ainsley said.

About an hour later, the car arrived at Cocoa Beach. It was filled with people lying on the shimmering warm sand and people playing around on the coast.

"I'll pick you up later girls! Have fun!" Aunt Willa said before she left the place.

"Wow, look at this place. It's amazing!" Ainsley cried out staring across the beach.

"Come on guys let's change!" Mia says, already heading to the changing rooms holding a big beach umbrella.

"Ooh wait for me!" Ainsley says, holding a beach ball. Lucile followed behind them carrying a bag full of beach stuff and snacks.

A few minutes of lining up to the changing rooms, the three of them finally finished changing to their matching zebra striped bikinis.

"Hey guys. I found a spot." Lucile shouts, hurrying to an empty spot that wasn't too far from the water. Mia made sure that the umbrella would stand steadily on top of them.

"This is perfect." Mia says.

"Woohoo! This is fun!! Come on guys let's go to the water!" Ainsley shouts, which attracted a bunch of people's attention.

"Umm...Ainsley? You might want to quiet down." Mia says, while giving an apologetic smile to people "What?!" Ainsley shouts, heading closer to where Mia and Lucile were sitting. 

"I said sssshhh." Mia says. "Why? This isn't a library." Suddenly Lucile bursts into laughter. 

"Hahaha good one Ainsley. Relax, Mia. Let her have some fun." Lucile says. 

"Yeah but-"

"Come on Ains, let's go to the water." Lucile says, standing up and folloeing Ainsley who was already rushing to the water. Mia stayed for awhile to put on some sunscreen before following them.

"Woohoo! Splash! Splash!" Ainsley says happily, splashing water everywhere. Mia and Lucile giggled at her and joined the water fight.

"I really don't want this day to end." Mia says. 

"Who knows what school would be like tomorrow." She sighs.

"Who cares? Let's just enjoy this moment!" Lucile says. 

"Hey guys! Over here! You guys look so tiny!" They could hear Ainsley's shout, but it sounds a bit faded.

They look to the place where they last seen her but she wasn't there. They looked closer and see a hand waving in the air. She had swam further away from shore. "Ainsley!" Mia shouted. "Ainsley come back! Lucile, we need to go help her before she goes further. She might get hurt!" Mia tried to walk faster towards where Ainsley is, Lucile following her.

"Wow, she's fast. How did she even make it there?" Lucile says.

"Ainsley! Come back!" Lucile and Mia kept shouting, but Ainsley didn't hear. She was happily just playing in the water.
