See Ya There

Kaneki woke up later than normal.
He took his phone and saw he had two Missed Calls and 5 messages from Hide.
He was just going to call Hide back when his phone started ringing again.
"Hey.." Kaneki yawned as he was still struggling to wake up.
"Wake up sleepy-head you don't wanna miss school." Hide replied.
"I'll drink some coffee and I'll be right there." Kaneki said.
"Yep no problem I'll wait for ya." Hide said.
"See ya at school?" Kaneki asked.
"Yep! See ya there." Hide replied.
Kaneki went downstairs and saw his mom already left for work.
He rubbed his eyes as he filled a cup with hot coffee and sat down at the kitchen table.
He grabbed the paper and noticed a big article about a ghoul attack not too far from school.
Kaneki thought: "they better not bite Hide."
And a smile grew on his face as he thought about his boyfriend.
"I'm so damn lucky to have you." He thought to himself.
As he finished his cup of coffee he made some lunch and got on his bike and rode towards school.
In the middle of the road he received a text from Hide saying: "Hey I gotta let ya know I'll wait for you at the café.
He was about call Hide up as he suddenly heard a loud honk approaching very fast.
Before he knew he was on the ground and bleeding from his head.
He could hear Hide trough his phone yelling: "Kaneki! Holy fuck.. What the hell happened?!" Kaneki said:"H-Hide..." with a cracked voice as he passed out.
He regained consciousness as he was getting rushed to the ER.
He heard blurry voices call his name telling him that he was gonna make it. Kaneki passed out again.
After a couple of days Kaneki regained consciousness in a hospital bed.
"Oh my god!" A voice said. "I thought I was going to lose you."
He looked at where the voice was coming from and saw Hide and Kaneki's mom sitting on a chair next to his bed.
"H-hey mom, hey Hide..." Kaneki said.
"What happened?" He continued.

"Holy crap don't ever do that again!" Hide yelled.

"But what happened?" Kaneki asked confused.
"When you called me I heard like a huuuge bang." Hide told.
"What??" Kaneki said confused.
He tried to pull himself up but almost immediately he felt a sharp sting in his left leg.
"I'll tell a doctor that you're awake hon'." Kaneki's mom said.
As she left the room Hide immediately gave Kaneki a kiss.
"What was that for ?" Kaneki asked.
"I almost lost you." Hide said with a sad tone in his voice." I can't live without you..." Hide looked at Kaneki and started crying a bit.
"Hide...I love you more than you could think." Kaneki said and wiped the tears from Hide's cheeks.
"Just don't ever scare me like that again."
"I don't think I would try that again." Kaneki smiled.
"I love you so damn much Kaneki." Hide said with a soft, lovely voice.
Kaneki was about to kiss Hide when the doctor walked in.
"You're lucky to be alive Kaneki."
The doctor said dead-serious.
"You fractured your left leg on two different places and sustained an injury to the head which caused you to lose consciousness." The doctor said.
"So when do I get to leave the hospital sir ?" Kaneki asked.
"You will be discharged tomorrow noon when we have further information about your health."
The doctor told.
Kaneki's mom added: "Honey I'll have to go now, I'm leaving on a business trip to Hokkaido and I'll be back in five days."
"Can he stay at my place?" Hide asked.
"I'll call your mom Hide." She added with a nice tone.
"Doctor when will I be able to walk again?" Kaneki asked.
"Probably in about four weeks."
The doctor said.
"And when you eat you will probably feel a bit nauseated so don't rush it." He added.
Kaneki's mom got a phone call and walked out of the room for a minute.
She came back telling Kaneki he could stay with Hide and his mom.
The doctor said the visiting hour was almost over and walked out of the room.
"Hide we should probably leave and let him rest now." Kaneki's mom said. "I'll drive you to school." she added.
"Alright." Hide said as he stood up.
"Love you." Kaneki said.
"Love you too!" Hide and Kaneki's mom both said at the same time.
"Umm mom? Did you by any chance bring any books or my cellphone?" Kaneki asked before she left. "Oh yes hun' I bought a new phone because your last one barely survived the accident."
She replied as she walked back to kaneki to give him his new phone.
She kissed him on the forehead which kinda hurt.
Then she left the room along with Hide.
Kaneki checked his new phone.
His mom could save his memory card from his broken phone.
He had fifteen new messages from classmates he never spoke to.
Kaneki found it funny that they didn't acknowledge him for the three years they were in the same class but now acted like they are his best friend.
He put in his earphones and fell asleep.
He woke up to a nurse that was at his bed checking how he was doing.
"Sup dork." The nurse said.
Kaneki rubbed his eyes and said: "Excuse me?
"It's me Touka, I work here as an intern." She added.
"I never expected to see you here."
Kaneki said.
"Yeah same goes for you."
She responded.
"What happened you got hit by a car or something?"
"Actually, yeah I did." Kaneki answered.
"How'd you pull that off?" Touka asked.
"Called my boyfriend in the middle of traffic." Kaneki told.
"Smartass." Touka rolled her eyes.
"Well I gotta go tho'." Touka added.
"Talk to ya later." Kaneki said.
He checked his phone.
"6.56PM..." he thought.
He dialed Hide's phone number.
Surprisingly Hide's mom picked up.
"Hi Kaneki !" She excitedly said.
"Hey miss Nagachika!" Kaneki said.
"How are you sweety?" Hide's mom asked.
"I'm still alive that's for sure." Kaneki joked.
"You should be more careful hon'." Hide's mom said.
"Yeah sorry haha!" Kaneki said.
"Is Hide around?"
"Yes he just came out of the shower." She answered.
"He cleaned his whole room to make sure you feel home." She added.
"He's an amazing person." Kaneki thought.
"I'll give the phone to Hide now. Much love honey." She said
"Bye miss Nagachika."
Kaneki said.
"Heey Kaneki!" Hide yelled trough the phone.
"Holy crap Hide you gave me a heart attack!"
Kaneki said shocked.
"Soo what'cha been doing sweetie."
Hide happily said.
"I slept a bit until Touka woke me up."
"Touka??" Hide asked surprised.
"Yeah it seems like she's an intern here." Kaneki answered.
"Sweet!" Hide said."I cleaned my whole room to make you feel as home as possible." He added.
"Oh a doctor just walked in. I gotta go." Kaneki said.
"Okay hon' I'll pick you up at 2PM tomorrow." Hide said.
"Love ya!" He added
"Love you too." Kaneki said.
