The One Eyed One

Hide's mom brought the pizza's to the living room.
She turned the TV on and sat in a chair close to Hide and Kaneki.
They all started eating and Kaneki started  feeling a bit nauseous as he took a bite from his first pizza slice.
"You okay?" Hide asked.
Kaneki suddenly felt a sharp pain in his left eye.
"Ugh... y-yeah." Kaneki said.
"Let me take a look at your eye honey." Hide said worried.
Kaneki turned Hide's way.
"H-holy shit. " Hide said startled.
"What's wrong??" Kaneki asked worried.
"Mom..." Hide said.
"Oh god Kaneki your eye!" She screamed.
"WHAT IS HAPPENING??" Kaneki yelled.
"K-Kaneki. You have a ghoul eye."
Hide said in disbelief.
"Hide what the hell are you saying?" Kaneki asked worried.
"Look." Hide said as he took a picture of Kaneki's eye.
"Hide stay away from him." Hide's mom said as a couple of tears rolled over her cheeks.
"Mom no! He wouldn't..." Hide cried.
"I ... i didn't even know.." Kaneki said as he kept looking at the picture in disbelief.
"What do we do?" Kaneki asked.
"You get out of here right now."
Hide's mom threatened.
"Mom what the hell!" Hide yelled.
"Hide you stay here!" She yelled aa she saw that Hide got up.
"No mom! Kaneki didn't know it himself!" Hide screamed.
"I don't care. He could attack us right here." She said.
"Miss Nagachika.. I wouldn't do that in any circumstances.." Kaneki cried and a faintly red fluid came out of his eye.
"Kaneki... this is for your own safety. Hide's mom said as she grabbed her phone.
"I'll count to ten." She said.
"And if you aren't going by then I'll call CCG." She added.
"I swear to god mom. If you even dare to dial that number." Hide said pissed off.
"Hide it's all good." Kaneki said.
"I'll go."
"Then I'll go too!" Hide cried.
"You're still injured."
"Hide you are staying here!"
Hide's mom yelled.
"Fuck you then!" Hide yelled as he lifted Kaneki into his arms.
"I'm going and you're not gonna see me for a long time.."
"HIDE COME BACK RIGHT NOW." She screamed.
"Hide you don't need to do this." Kaneki cried as Hide carried him out of the house.
"Don't worry man." Hide said as the tears fell down his cheeks.
"You should close your ghoul eye.
Hide said.
"Where are we going?" Kaneki asked.
"To Touka's house." Hide said as he dried his tears.
"Touka?" Kaneki asked.
"Yeah she's one too." Hide said.
"She's a ghoul?" Kaneki asked startled.
"Yeah I found out a year ago." Hide answered.
"Mr Yomo is one too."
"Holy shit" Kaneki said in utter disbelief.
"They're not dangerous and they can give you a place to stay." Hide said.
"Hide do you realize what you're doing?" Kaneki asked.
"I'm helping my boyfriend out.. And I'll do anything for you even breaking the law." Hide said angered.
He held Kaneki even closer to his chest.
After a while they arrived at an apartment.
Hide pushed the door and pressed the bell of Touka's apartment.
A loud beep sounded and the door opened.
He carried Kaneki to the elevator and went to the third floor.
"What's up ?" Touka said as she let Hide and Kaneki in.
"Kaneki is a ghoul." Hide said very serious.
"You gotta be kidding me." She said.
Kaneki opened his left eye.
"Oh man you're a One Eyed." Touka sighed.
"Why are you still wearing those bandages and that cast."
She laughed.
"You're a ghoul now. You heal your wounds in two seconds."
"But how come I had to get surgery for my leg then?"
Coz' you probably got a blood transfusion and the blood was probably from a ghoul."
Touka explained.
"Are they even allowed to do that?" Hide asked.
"They probably didn't know." Touka thought.
"I'll dig up some more information when I'm doing my internship."
She said.
Touka searched for a hammer in her toolbox and broke Kaneki's cast.
"See? Your leg is perfect." She said as she rolled her eyes.
"So I carried you all that time but you were just fine?" Hide laughed.
"Sorry." Kaneki giggled.
"You're hungry.. because your ghoul eye is showing." Touka said as she walked to her refrigerator.
"Here eat this." She said as she gave Kaneki a small pack of meat.
"What is it?" Kaneki asked curiously.
"Human." Touka said.
"What?!?! I am NOT eating human meat." Kaneki yelled.
"Calm down it tastes like chicken." Touka laughed.
"How did you even get that?" Kaneki asked.
Don't worry my group doesn't kill humans.We go to places where people commit suicide to pick up the deceased." Touka told.
"That's gross..." Kaneki and Hide both said.
"Now eat because a ghoul's hunger is a living hell." Touka said.
"Alright.. here goes nothing..." Kaneki said as he took his first bite.
"Damn this really tastes good." He said.
"Oh Kaneki your eye is fading back to it's normal colors." Hide smiled.
"What does the eye actually do?" Kaneki asked.
"It shows that you're craving for human flesh." Touka smirked.
"Would I ever bite Hide?" Kaneki askes concerned.
"Yes. Only if you are extremely hungry... like i said a ghoul's hunger is a living hell." Touka said with a sad tone.
"I experienced it myself and I bit my friend." She added.
A couple of sirens could be heard heading to Touka's building.
"Fuck! My mom knew where we went!" Hide yelled.
"Grab as much packets of flesh as you can RIGHT NOW." Touka yelled as she ran out of the room.
"You heard her Hide they're also looking for you." Kaneki said as he rushed towards the refrigerator.
Touka ran back into the room with two bags.
"You got everything?" She asked.
"Yeah let's go." Kaneki said.
They ran to the fire escape ladder as they heard helicopters approaching.
"Follow me and keep running!" Touka ordered as she pulled a handgun out of one of the bags.
They ran out of the building and ran to an alley. Touka looked behind her and saw helicopters shooting at the alley.
"Cover me while I open this manhole!" She yelled as she gave Hide the gun.
"THEY'RE COMING!"Kaneki yelled as CCG agents stormed the rooftops and alley.
"Shoot goddammit!!" Touka yelled at Hide.
The CCG opened fire at them at the same moment Touka opened the manhole.
"GET IN RIGHT NOW!!"
Hide and Kaneki both jumped in and Touka covered the manhole again as they heard the bullet rain right above their heads.
K-Kaneki I'm sorry. Hide smiled as he reached out his hand.
He then dropped to the ground.
"No please... NO! He's been shot!!"
Kaneki screamed.
