Review of "Avatar"
From a 13 year old's perspective, this was an excellent movie. I saw it in 3-D, though many have said the 2-D is much better. I found the plot interesting and was instantly engaged. Though I had a hard time catching up with what happen before, with the brother dying, once I understood what had happened it made perfect sense. The movie itself was a wonderful journey deep into the human imagination, where few dare to go. The graphics were wonderful and well designed. In some places it was hard to tell what was real and what wasn't. I can not say as positive words about the theatre and the atmosphere there. I saw this movie in Turkey Creek shopping plaza in Knoxville, TN. The staff were somewhat unhelpful when it came to the problems in our particular theater. First, there was no video, but the audio was working. Then, there was video, but no audio. Right before the movie started, they both came on. I admit I probably should have left the part about the theatre itself out, seeing as I am reviewing the movie rather then the theatre. I give it 5 out of 5 stars and advise anyone who has not seen it to go, it is well worth it.
