ENDLESSLY (for peachjyri)
"I love you." He whispered. She was asleep already, but he didn't mind. He didn't want to scare her away anyway.
Katriin was a fragile girl, and he didn't know how she would react when he told her how he felt. He wanted to tell her, but at the same time he didn't want her to feel obliged to tell him she felt the same way if she wasn't ready for that yet.
Jüri had his arm around her, while she rested her head against his side and her hand on his chest. Her hand moved up and down with the rhythm of his steady breathing. He looked down at her. She looked very peaceful now, though he knew she was anything but. Katriin had been stressing that whole evening about a presentation she had to give tomorrow. Jüri knew she was going to be amazing.
She always was.
Her only problem was that she was so insecure. He always told her that and tried to make sure she believed him. Though it wasn't very often that he succeeded.
Jüri softly stroked a few strands of her hair out of the way. Her face looked so angelic with the early sunlight that came through the small gap between the curtains shining on it.
He glanced at the digital clock that stood beside the bed. It was still early in the morning and he knew Katriin had to get up in about an hour.
Jüri himself didn't have to be anywhere for another four hours. He tried to place her hand that was resting on his chest elsewhere as delicately as he could without waking her up. Then Jüri got up and walked to the kitchen. He got out the milk and the oats and followed the intructions on the box, hoping for the best.
While waiting for the oats, he cut up the first piece of fruit he could find, which happened to be a banana, to put on top later. He proceeded to make his girlfriend some coffee, something that even he couldn't mess up.
The breakfast looked amazing if he did say so himself. He put both the coffee and oatmeal on a tray and thriumphantly carried it back to the bedroom. Right as he openend the door and walked in, he saw Katriin stretch her arms lightly with her eyes still closed.
Jüri put the tray on the bedside table and placed a kiss on her forehead. Instantly, he saw a cute small smile appear on her face. That made him smile too.
It wasn't very often that they got to spend their morning together like this, but when it did happen, he loved every second of it and made sure to cherish it.
Katriin sat up straight in the bed.
"Good morning." She said. Her morning voice still apparent. It always had some type of effect on him.
Jüri himself sat down on the side of the bed.
"Good morning." He smiled and added, "I made us breakfast."
It was only then she noticed the smell of freshly brewed coffee was coming from the table right beside her. Katriin leaned over and placed a soft and sweet kiss on his lips. "Thank you. You're the best."
"I should really do this more often." Jüri mumbled to himself, making Katriin laugh.
Katriin sat with her legs crossed and had her bowl of oatmeal in her hands. She was amazed at how good it actually tasted. Jüri didn't exactly have the reputation of best cook.
Katriin looked at her boyfriend sitting right in front of her. She was thankful to have him in her life and she, too, cherished every morning she woke up next to him and every night she fell asleep with him.
"I love you." She whispered before she even realised she had said it. For a moment she was terrified of Jüri's reaction and all her insecurities came flooding back to her.
"What?"
Katriin panicked, before gathering every bit of confidence she had and saying it again. A little louder this time, she repeated, "I love you."
Jüri's smile grew bigger and then he said, "I love you too."
He could finally ssay what he had wanted to tell her for so long. He moved over to the spot next to her and put his arm around her. Katriin finished drinking her coffee and rested her head on his shoulder.
They enjoyed the silence together. Katriin nearly fell asleep again, but then suddenly remembered her presentation. She glanced at the clock and realised she only had half an hour left to get ready and get to University.
"Shit." She whisper-yelled. Katriin ran to the bathroom to brush her teeth, get out her make-up and brush her hair. She tried to do everything as fast as she could while still making it look presentable.
She hurried back to the bedroom and searched for the clothes she wanted to wear. Katriin was sure she had put them somewhere so she didn't have to stress about an outfit in the morning, but now they were nowhere to be found.
Jüri watched her with amusement.
As she hurriedly put on the clothes she finally found, Katriin turned to her boyfriend who was still laying on the bed in only a white T-shirt and boxers. "As much as I enjoy you just laying there, can you please get dressed and drive me to Uni?"
Katriin looked at him with pleading eyes, which he could just not resist. Jüri got up to put on some clothes, while Katriin was already off to the living room to collect all of the things she needed.
Jüri was still as amused by the situation. He got to the living room as well and was greeted with his girlfriend running around like crazy to try get everything she thought she needed into her bag.
He stopped her in the middle of the room and wrapped his arms around her tightly. Katriin protested with all the strength she had in her, but realised it was no use since Jüri was much stronger than she was.
"Relax a bit, will you? I'm sure you are going to do amazing, so stop stressing."
Katriin relaxed into his arms.
"That's better." He told her.
He lets go of her, and a few minutes later they are headed out the door. When they are both seated in the car, Katriin suddenly starts to laugh.
"What are you laughing at?" He asked, confused.
"Look at your hair." She giggled, "Wait, let me just..."
Katriin reached for his hair with one of her hands. With the other she slightly tilted his head so he was looking at her. Katriin ran her fingers through his messy hair a few times before saying, "That's probably as good as it's going to get. Now go."
Jüri drove her to the Universiy. It was a short drive of only ten minutes. He saw her tense up more and more during the ride. "Don't stress too much. You have nothing to worry about."
Katriin smiled at him, but he could see it wasn't all real. She nodded her head ever so slightly. Katriin kept tapping her fingers on her bag; something she always did when she was nervous for something.
Katriin quickly kissed him on his lips when they arrived and said goodbye. Nervously, she walked to the building.
Jüri watched her quickly make her way into the University building.
The way she moved, the way she spoke and just did her thing, drove him crazy. Only after someone was loudly honking behind him, it was that he noticed that he was still in that same spot, thinking about the girl who by now had disolved into the crowd.
The girl who was extremely nervous for a presentation she knew deep inside she was going to be amazing on.
The girl who made him feel like no other ever could.
The girl he realised he was so hopelessly in love with.
