Oh darn! There was pink gum all over the wall in the corridor. What the hell!? I looked at Violet and she seemed very surprised not to mention very perplexed. She was looking at the gum all right but she wasn't just looking, she was reading! I scanned the wall quickly and felt a black hole form in my stomach.

I STILL LOVE YOU ALICE. -B.J

"Oh, God."

"Uhm, Violet?"

"We should clean this up before dad gets home." she said sounding very firm.

I nodded and we ran to the cleaning cabinet placed in the kitchen. We found some tools to scrape off the gum and put on some white gloves. We smiled at the sight of our rubber glove hands. We always liked seeing it like that. It made us feel like some detectives. Which I hope we could be to solve this case. It really gave me the chills.

We went back down the hall and began scraping. We scraped for hours which seems very exaggerated but he wrote those words in HUGE letters so there was plenty to go on for. We scraped and rubbed alcohol on the wall here and there and we lost track of time.

"Oh fudge!" exclaimed Violet.

"What is it?" I inquired.

"I totally forgot to mention that I have a date with Peter today!"

"A date? Already? My, my. Looks like someone plays 'hard to get.'" I said, emphasizing those last few words.

"Okay, I'm sorry but it just happened okay? I'll let you go out with Terep the next time he asks. Promise."

"Good. So when's the date?"

"At five!" she moaned.

It was a quarter to five and she wasn't dressed yet.

"Well what are you waiting for," I yelled, waving my hands in the air, "Get dressed!"

"A-are you sure?" she said while I pushed her towards the stairs.

"AB Positive." I said firmly.

She visibly relaxed and smiled. She was always good natured when I made jokes about our surprisingly same blood types. She kissed me on the cheek and ran up the stairs. I went back to work and within a few minutes she was back down. She shyly emerged from the stairs wearing a black fitted shirt with black pants and her favorite Converse. Black, of course.

"So where's the funeral?" I said grinning.

"Well, I like to blend in with the shadows." she said with a laugh.

"You look great," I said.

Why, she even had her hair in a ponytail where there were still some loose strands of hair falling down. I call them her 'tails' but they look great anyways.

"I was going for casual," she said, "It's a hard to get rule, I suppose." She grinned mischievously at me.

"Well, you better get going!" I hurriedly kissed her left cheek, which was our lucky side, and gently shoved her to the door. She stood there for a while with a worried expression but I eased her with an affirmative smile and she finally moved off. Seeing her walk off felt weird. Hmm... I shrugged and went back to work.
