I hate hospitals. I can't believe they put me in here. I was feeling weak and light headed but I was quite enraged that they had put me next to her. I let my face fall gracefully into my hands.

There was a knock on the door. A familiar red head came into view. I smiled wide.

"How's the little patient?"

"Grumpy. I haven't had breakfast and I'm in the hospital. How rich."

"I brought you something!"

"Really!?" I brightened up.

She handed me a brand new teddy bear and tied some bright balloons to my bed.

"I love these!" I smiled gratefully at her.

"That's not all!" she produced a medium white paper bag.

"No way," I breathed.

"Way!"

I opened the blessing and basked in its beauty.

"A whole bag of round gumballs from the gumball machine itself?!" I said in disbelief.

"Yeah, it took a whole lot of twisting and crouching." she said while rubbing her back.

"And not to mention change!" We both laughed.

"You're the best!" I said giving her a huge hug.

"No, you are! You were so brave!"

This only saddened me.

"I was a monster.." I said trailing off.

"You just had a lot of pent up anger."

I smiled weakly and lay my head back down. She patted me on the head and I soon drowned in sleep.

I awoke to find Terep and Alice chatting. Why? That boy was unforgivable.

"Oh, Violet! Mornin!"

"What are you doing with him?"

I folded my arms and looked away.

"Samantha was a jerk," Terep said.

"Well, I thought she already screamed 'jerk' with just one look at her."

"No, I mean she made it all up. I never asked for her number and we were never dating. Now since everything's cleareed up" he turned to Alice, smiling, "May I have the honor of taking your lovely sister out tomorrow?"

I looked at Alice's shining face.

I rolled my eyes but nonetheless I was smiling.

"Fine, but bring her back early."

"Count on it. I work the night shift," he smirked.

I gave him a warm smile.

"You two be good."

"Alright, and thank you." He looked at his watch.

"Sorry I have to get going, see you two soon!" he said as he hurried out the door.

Alice scurried next to me looking very excited.

She held my hand and who should come into the room but Peter!

"Peter!" I said in surprise.

"What are you doing here?" asked Alice.

"What happened? Oh uhm I was walking by and I saw Violet. What happened?" he looked very worried. Aww~

"I'm fine, Peter."

"No, you're not. So tell me."

We told him the story and he seemed to glow.

"Well, would you look at that!"

We were both puzzled.

"Looks like I got a keeper. You know how to stand up for yourself." he said giving me a pinch on the cheek.

"What!?" we said simultaneously.

He smiled and kissed me. I pushed him away shyly and I saw Alice turn her head away in an obvious attempt of taking a sneaky peek. I punched his arm.

"Oww, wow you must have rocks for muscles!"

He laughed. "Thank you." he said modestly.

"Alice was here you jerk!"

He smirked at Alice.

"Do you mind?"

"Not at all," she said with grin.

I groaned.

"Stop picking on me while I'm in bed!"

We spent the rest of the night laughing and talking. Alice soon drifted off to sleep.

"Oh, I forgot about your jacket!"

"That's alright." he chuckled.

"In fact," he continued, "if you're feeling cold you can have my shirt.

I watched in amazement as he pulled up his shirt. It opened a cage of butterflies in my stomach. I had never seen a shirtless guy before. i turned away.

"I don't like seeing bare guys."

"Aww, you don't like my abs?" he said playfully.

He coaxed his shirt on me and it was a bit big.

"You look adorable," he said.

"Maybe. I think looking like a grandma in a dress is adorable," I said thoughtfully.

He laughed harder.

"It's time for you to nap now."

"But I don't want to!" I said in my baby voice.

"No matter how cute you are my baby needs to get some rest, mkay?"

"Your baby? I am eighteen!"

"Yes, but you'll stay my baby." he said with a smirk.

"Did you just quote Miranda Cosgrove or something?"

He just shook his head and stroked my head. I didn't mind at all. I soon fell asleep.
